Maybe 5.6 will be 2x token efficient, bringing us practically back to 2x limits. Wishful thinking though.

1. You can pause the goal and ask it for an update and then resume it after 2. Use the side chat option /side or the three dots adjacent to the chat name in the top 3. You can very well make your ask with codex too on what you want to see so that you have great clarity, it’ll figure out a way to address it

/goal has been running for 16 hours and we're in that sweet spot where I don't want to stop it because it could be cooking but I also seriously doubt it. Please advise

I ran this for 27Hrs (Dozed off for 3Hrs in between), this is definitely not autonomous, there is good amount of steering I did, scope additions too as my thoughts became clear. People that run 24+ hours Codex tasks Can you share what you’re running exactly? Everyone is sharing the hours but not the task itself, I feel that most of them are just engagement baits

1. Connectivity with mobile is not stable, and not real time, need to always come back to home page of GPT app and then go to codex for the latest updates to show up, disconnected errors are too often. 2. Codex needs to improve a great deal in terms of the design and creative aspects, I have to use Claude to get the design components done well and then move to codex for the non-design work. 3. Same is applicable for other aspects like ppts and any work that needs a design/creative eye.

What’s something we haven’t fixed in codex for a while and that’s plain annoying?

@rudrank Try using it once and you never want to use it again. It fails at basic tasks too.

@weswinder This started happening from the last update, weirdly the limits started running out after the last reset even without any tasks running or no background tasks

feels like codex limits got nerfed not sure what caused it this time but they are def burning way faster anybody else seeing this?

Codex Pro on one goal doesn't even feel like a Plus plan at this point of time. I could easily get 3 times the work before barely exhausting the hourly limits. Something is seriously wrong with the rate limit @thsottiaux reset please.

End of the month is like eternity @comet I am on the pro plan, Can you do something like the 5Hr or weekly exhaust so that I don't keep waiting when the month ends or pase out my usage?

GPT 5.5 Instant is mind blowing, the most impressive part is not how fast the results are, but almost zero latency in too calling and the depth of answer. Claude on other side, takes forever and needs to ask for permissions.
