Congrats to my friends at @thetaneurotech on their pre-seed raise! Enjoyed helping with the announcement video - had a ton of fun getting to know them throughout the process.
Truman Pierson@truman_pierson

@thetaneurotech has raised $1.75m pre-seed to monitor the brain and predict epileptic seizures The round was led by Vaark Ventures, with support from @UChicagoMed Ventures, Harper Court Ventures (@KartheeMadasamy), @polskycenter, @bandinvestors, and many others! Theta Neurotech is developing wearable patches that monitor and stream non-invasive brain signals (EEG) to a paired mobile app. Patient-specific ML models detect shifts in brain activity that occur prior to an epileptic seizure, allowing for early alert and preventative action Thank you so much to all additional investors that participated in this round: @daxos_capital, @berkeleyangels, @JoinJosephine (@DesireeChicago), @chicago_early, @LoftyVentures (@Chris_Deutsch), @_LeapYear_ (@HankCouture), Troy Gregory, Karen Taylor Crowe, Will Fischer, and Noel Moore *Theta Neurotech's seizure prediction system is in development and not cleared by the FDA*

The rise of UGC content has less to do with the cost of paid advertising than it does the unwillingness of brands to have real and truthful conversations with customers - to embrace their “elephant in the room” and lean into the realities (the good and the bad) of the brand

💿NEW for @cursor_ai Honored that Cursor tapped @afterimage to make its first ever brand video Many explorations over the past few weeks got us to a core message & creative direction that felt both aspirational and true to the company voice Full process breakdown...

Turned 27 today. Feeling very grateful for all that happened this last year, and what seems like it will be a wonderful year ahead. There are lots of things I wanted to accomplish before today, but also countless more blessings I couldn't have imagined, alhamdullah. I want to meet more people this year. I want to do more work with others. And I want more people to learn about Native (subscribe to the newsletter!) because I think we're making some magic happen. DMs open, excited for another year :)

@jaesmail Totally hear you and agree these takes aren't necessarily interesting. My take is that the audience for this content is more excited to be entertained seeing new faces explore familiar topics than they are interested in actually hearing a new take.

I keep seeing “new media” companies that are focused on “telling the real stories” of whatever tech they’re interested in, and I’m just not getting excited about any of them. They all feel… generic? Stale? The videos are great! The production quality is excellent! But there is nothing novel or interesting about interviewing founders whose work is consensus amongst your primary audience. I think that’s the key issue. “Pro-tech” is not an interesting posture. “Pro-human” isn’t even an interesting posture without some explicit definition of human values that goes against the grain of the mainstream. Until folks are able to articulate a clear, exciting vision for the world that runs counter to the one we’re currently on, you won’t excite anyone but the 10k people that ALSO watch TBPN and listen to Founders and so on. Media can only be “new” if it believes in something new. That isn’t the case for the projects I’m seeing today.

@MatthewGattozzi If every B2B marketing department could convince their stakeholders/leadership teams these bets are the right thing, similar to Ramp… we’d have a lot of happy creative agencies / production studios 🥲

People will point to Ramp as an example of how to do marketing, and yet 99% of people are not willing to spend the money on taking bets that build brand. The difference between Ramp and other players is the fact that they have been willing to build brand even if that doesn't come at a direct ROI within one day of seeing their ads and marketing. You don't have to go out and get a figurehead or big influencer or even spend big money, but you do need to take bets proportional to your company.

Quick update: I’m stepping away from my role at @moonwalkfitness at the end of the month to pursue a new opportunity I’m excited to share soon. Helping build something I care so deeply about has been the most fulfilling experience of my career. I’ll be staying on as an advisor to help improve the current experience, and Moonwalk is in great hands with the rest of the team for future products. For any inbound requests, please reach out to @Jecy024 as she will be stepping up (pun intended) in my absence. Keep moving! 🌓👟

“things that exist because they can, that are better than nothing, but add a noiselayer to everything…” @orenmeetsworld spot on with this double down on craft, taste, and emotional + cultural resonance
Oren John@orenmeetsworld

clawdbot radically accelerating what the team has been calling "midslop" things that exist because they can, that are better than nothing, but add a noiselayer to everything that is going to desensitize consumers to basically anything that isn't amazing

Video editors + motion designers are cooked. I made a UFC ad that got over 10 million views & it only took me 5 days using Premiere Pro & After Effects. AI is going to take your job.

EigenDA is now operating at cloud scale. 1GB/s is cloud scale, verifiable, and simulated across 100 operators globally. This is what happens when a team obsesses over system engineering end to end. Custom DBs. GPU acceleration. Rearchitecting the whole stack instead of patching around limits. Huge respect to the partners pushing this with us and stress testing the edge of what is possible:@megaeth @altiuslabs @Celo @reya_xyz @aevoxyz @fuel_network [___] [___] (soon ™) You all forced the system to get better. And we are not done. The architecture is built for another 10x and beyond with our newly dropped whitepaper. If you are the kind of engineer who wants to work on problems where the answer is not on Stack Overflow and the constraints are physics, networks, and adversaries, we are hiring. EigenCloud is where this gets built for real. Check out the thread below ⬇️
EigenCloud@eigencloud

Today @eigen_da reaches cloud scale at 1GB/s. Benchmarked across 100 operators and 10 countries. ft. @sreeramkannan and @0xkydo

I've been working on deformable object manipulation since my PhD. It was totally a nightmare years ago and my PhD advisor was telling me not to work on it for my own good. Today, at ByteDance Seed, we are dropping GR-RL, a new VLA+RL system that manages long-horizon precise dexterous manipulation of deformable objects. This is probably the first real-world RL system to make a robot: ✅ Lace up your shoes end to end ✅ Hit millimeter tolerance repeatedly ✅ Recover from mistakes (See video!) ✅ And complete continuous shoelace threading on a real bimanual platform 📈 Success rate: ↑ from 45.7% → 83.3% Yes, robots can now actually do this. Project page: seed.bytedance.com/en/gr_rl ArXiv: arxiv.org/abs/2512.01801

Going to describe my household responsibilities as long-horizon, highly dexterous, precise, whole-body manipulation combined with delicate, transparent, reflective, and deformable objects from now on Been underselling how I provide for my family
Tony Zhao@tonyzzhao

The table-to-dishwasher task is the classic nightmare scenario for roboticists: Long-horizon, highly dexterous, precise, whole-body manipulation combined with delicate, transparent, reflective, and deformable objects. Yet Memo handles it so naturally and elegantly.
