what will the new medium be after ai? "the content of the new medium is the old medium" ok obvious one out of the way: internet is the content / old medium and ai is the new medium but one step further, all the other old(er) mediums are the content of the new medium: audio (radio / podcasts), text (press), moving pictures (tv) so then when ai is the content / old medium, what forms could the new medium be? it would have to be something that "consumes ai" in the same way that llm's "consumed" the internet as training data but what does consuming ai look like? consuming agents? their output? the transformer architecture? trying to solve for the new medium where the content / the old medium is ai is probably a good riddle to think about.

@0xkyle__ I think you’re missing the point-a lot of people do this for community and to meet people.

truly incredible how the hyrox guys did it. getting people to pay just to work out or even spectate. making exercise into this "high status" activity and a sense of "i'm better than you" which every sinkie loves. one must truly admit their genius for finding the golden egg
Kyle@0xkyle__

the one thing that sums up Singapore is how the government pays you 200 to do a yearly fitness test which everyone hates, but people will pay obsene amounts of money to work out once you slap the fitness test with athletica wear and cool selfies you can post on ig (hyrox)

@JoshKale Paying workers a few bucks to film the job, then deploying robots to do it. The negotiation over who owns that value already happened. Terms were $11 and a body camera.

This is straight out of Black Mirror... DoorDash's new app pays delivery drivers to strap on body cameras and film themselves doing household chores to train AI robots The tasks: - Wash five dishes on camera, holding each up to the lens - Film yourself folding laundry - Record an unscripted conversation in Spanish - Walk a grocery aisle filming every shelf - A few bucks per clip DoorDash feeds this into AI and robotics models, and sells the data to partners across tech, retail, and hospitality. They have 8 million drivers across nearly every zip code in America. It's a real world data collection machine no AI lab could replicate. Meanwhile, DoorDash is actively deploying autonomous delivery robots in Arizona. Partnered with Waymo for driverless deliveries in Phoenix. Signed a deal with Serve Robotics for sidewalk bots in LA. Committed to commercializing autonomous delivery this year. Uber and Instacart are running the same playbook. Voice recordings. Photo uploads. Wrist mounted cameras capturing every hand movement while workers cook dinner. The entire gig industry is converting its workforce into AI training data. Funny side note: DoorDash also pays drivers $11 to close Waymo car doors the robot can't close itself The most valuable new gig might just be showing a machine how to do yours. Wild times

Introducing Dasher Tasks Dashers can now get paid to do general tasks. We think this will be huge for building the frontier of physical intelligence. Look forward to seeing where this goes!

@JoshKale It’s a brilliant, high-signal data play that treats every zip code in America as a laboratory. The most valuable skill in 2026 isn't just knowing how to do the work, but being the one who records the definitive "how-to" video for the model that eventually takes your shift.

starting to work on opening a brick and mortar biz has made me realize how abstract white collar work is and how direct "business work" is browsing things on alibaba or sending a whatsapp dm asking about prices

@Eng_china5 the use case for the yuan: you can use the strait of Hormuz China and Iran are saying they got some power in writing or changing the rules. Good advertisement for the yuan Would be a shame if someone would stop this shipment

Iran has allowed the first oil tanker to pass through the Strait of Hormuz after the shipment was paid for in Chinese yuan. The ‘Karachi’ oil tanker, an Aframax-class vessel carrying Das crude from Abu Dhabi, crossed the Strait of Hormuz safely with its AIS (Automatic Identification System) activated. It is the first non-Iranian oil tanker to do so today without any incident, and it is on its way to Pakistan.

The reason that nobody is properly marketing their vibe coded apps is because they are not excited about them. There is no joy in promoting something that was built for you by a machine. You need to have some skin in the game.
