One of my songs I produced is about to hit 100M streams - top 0.01% of all recorded music.
It hasn’t been certified Gold or Platinum by RIAA because 65% of the streams are outside the U.S.
Once we finally have enough streams in the US to be certified, THEN I gotta buy my own plaque 😭😭

Power worked with A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Erykah Badu, D'Angelo, The Roots, and so many more. He was also a professor at the Clive Davis Institute at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. In the age of AI and technology that can make everything "perfect," take Power's advice and remember that so often, the best parts in music are the fortunate mistakes, the things that sound just a little bit off.
