@namitathapar Yeah when moms works the kids have to be independent out of necessity. With your logic why don’t you just leave your kids somewhere unknown and then they will actually learn other life lessons too!! They had to be independent because someone who was supposed to be there is not!!

As late as in the 7th century CE, Xuanzang recorded: "The men and women wear a single piece of cloth wound round the waist and brought under the armpits. It is thrown loosely over the shoulders.The dress of the inhabitants is horizontal and unstitched; cut strips of cloth are not esteemed. They wear garments made of fine white cotton mostly." Whether or not such clothing should be accepted now or not is an entirely different debate, this is just a purely historical statement that I am making.

Patriarchy is so deeply rooted that a woman sacrificing her body to give birth is treated as normal, while a man washing a few dishes is treated like a hero.

@Namzzy123 The difference here is that he is taking care of his child not because the child does not have a mom it is because the mom thinks giving some arbitrary exam is the priority compared to her baby. Anyone can give an exam but that only she can be that child’s mother no one else.

Is a man taking care of his own baby a sacrifice? If a woman did the same, wouldn’t it just be her fulfilling her normal duties?
