TODAY MARKS MY 100TH DAY OF CHEMO! Read on if you'd like a run down of my breast cancer battle so far! 🩷 To date I have had: 50 million vials of blood drawn 11 rounds of ddAC-T chemo (5 left!) 4 ultrasound guided biopsies + clip placement 4 cycles of Neulasta 4 Zoladex shots to medically induce menopause 3 mammograms 1 Port insertion surgery 1 boob MRI 1 PET/CT scan 1 EKG 1 boob ultrasound at halfway mark (tumors are shrinking!) 1 round of genetic testing & counseling Chemo side effects! (buckle up 💀) BALD af & my eyebrows are hanging on for dear life chemo fog (decline in cognitive processing) chemo mouth (persistent gross taste in your mouth) chemo rage (I be PISSED y'all) chemo nails (gross black and blue discoloration of my nail beds) chemo induced-anemia nose bleeds & blood clots in my nose loss/altered sense of taste (THEE worst) hella nausea & overall feeling like shit menopause from the zoladex (hotflash HELL) nocturia (having to pee a million times a night) numbness, pain & tingling in hands and feet hypersensitivity to heat hyperpigmentation & skin discoloration on my scalp, hands & feet dry ass skin & ashiness like you've never see before. thanks so much to everyone for your constant words of encouragement! here's to continuing the fight! 💪🏾
