Arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day State Visit. Kenya and Kazakhstan have been planting seeds of friendship for over a decade through series of deliberate engagements. It is time to take these cordial relations to the next level. Our trade ties are already blossoming in tea, flowers, fertilizer, and logistics, with a growing direct connection between Nairobi and Astana, as well as other countries in Central Asia. We are committed to building on this foundation by exploring new opportunities in finance, ICT, tourism, energy, and exchange programmes, with the overriding goal of fostering job creation, skills transfer, as well as expanding and opening new markets for our goods.

Hassan Omar: We have gotten to that point in our lives where we must say enough is enough. Mnaharibu nchi throughout. What has Ruto done to you that is so bad? If you sincerely feel he is incapable of leadership, why don't you wait for 2027 and exercise your Constitutional right.

We have had Matatu Operators turning off their engines before. They were peaceful and commuters left to walk for as long as they wanted uninterrupted. Infact the media branded it, “A walking nation”… indeed, Kenyans would be seen walking kilometers and kilometers to reach their destinations and would express their feelings on the media without chaos. What we are witnessing today is a politicians taking advantage of the constitutional concerns of Kenyans to advance their petty interests and insatiable desires. They have organized goons to loot, harass people and cause destruction to property targeting businesses belonging to people their pay masters don’t like. This is CRIMINAL. It is a criminal enterprise that has to be stopped immediately. Some characters in the political class have no agenda to sell to Kenyans, and have developed an appetency for taking advantage of noble causes to turn them into a political battlefield. The intention of Matatu owners was to have their vehicles packed in safe places and paralyze public transport without noise and destruction of property. But some elements have chosen to make it obstreperous and dangerous. No. No. No. We know the cost of fuel products is high and the government and stakeholders in the industry can have a chance to sit down, talk and find a solution to this global phenomenon that is affecting us.

@KarungoThangwa Profiling the people of the mountain is wrong in any definition. Incompetence clutching to the straws to stay afloat. KK sinking is not a question of if, it's a question of when.

A Plot to Profile the People of Mt. Kenya Has Been Hatched As we speak, some UDA MPs are now being lined up to hold press conferences castigating their own people. The script is becoming clearer by the day. Ruto, Murkomen and Sudi must come out clearly on the death of Wanjiku, “the tattoo lady.” The people of my region are generally tolerant when it comes to politics, which is why many people find the attack on Wanjiku suspicious and politically convenient. Just like the car that was torched in Githurai yesterday, many questions remain unanswered. Did you hear the driver speaking with what sounded like a Nigerian accent, claiming the car was burnt because demonstrators found a UDA scarf inside? That immediately introduced a political motive into the story. Now another incident has emerged: a truck belonging to MP Biego, a UDA MP, was reportedly torched during the protests in Naivasha, with claims that it was targeted because of his perceived political and regional association. Conveniently, every incident now seems tailored to push one narrative: that the attacks are politically and ethnically targeted. Kenyans are not blind. Many are beginning to ask whether some of these incidents are spontaneous or carefully curated to justify a bigger political script. Did you also hear the owner of the Githurai car say the insurance company would not compensate her because the vehicle was not insured against demonstrations? Another cue for Ruto to donate a new car and appear for a photo session. Many people believe there is a deliberate attempt to portray the people of Mt. Kenya as violent, yet that is not who they are. Others also fear this could be part of a broader political scheme against RiggyG, aimed at thwarting his return from the UK. The people of Mt. Kenya will not be intimidated, profiled, or politically provoked into fear.
