Have experienced both ‘The Hundred’and IPL ecosystem. 1. Surely it won’t die in 3 years, format will undergo changes. 2. Rest of the things highlighted by @LalitKModi are absolutely true. Currently its more like marketing campaign by ECB, the core product- Cricket takes backstage

Not in this lifetime will ANY T20 tournament will be like the @IPL my friend. Better not to hype it up as such as you don’t have 1. Cricket as a premier sports in uk. It’s football followed by rugby followed by racing followed by tennis followed by darts 🤣🤣😭 2. Nor the die hard fan base. 3. Nor the population to support it. 4. Nor the advertisers to back it. 5. Nor the Indian players. They will NEVER BE ALLOWED 6. The 18 counties will find it hard to come to an agreement. If they do an IPL format WHICH IS HOME AND AWAY. You don’t have the number of days to play it or crowds to support it. So better to see the reality and see it more like a South African T 20 league at best. That to if it’s the only short format in uk then the teams will break even or make a marginal profit. Keep in mind @ECB_cricket bread and butter will continue to be the bilateral games and you all should hope that is the case as short format requires all the above ingredients to get people to pay even pay a fraction of the 35 pounds per month for the ⚽️ football package. How many subscribers does one think they are for sky cricket ? Simple find that number and multiply what people will pay for it. Currently for 1 month. You will be lucky if that number is even a million. I am happy to corrected.

@ErikaMorris79 Absolutely. Nabi and Kuldeep each bowled only 2 overs. Could have gone with Vipraj instead of Nabi, to add more batting depth.

Delhi got their line up wrong today. In 2026 you can’t have your batting end at 7 and thats after using your impact sub. Some thinking for them to do ahead of the next game #CSKvDC

Any day taking single is best option. 1. High chances that you can get 1 run as bye on last. 2. Even if its a tie, you have another chance in super over. 3. The downside of not taking it- No guarantee of getting 2 on last. & two critical pts lost from winning position.

The debate will rage on. With 2 to get from 2, should you take the single that ensures there is at least a super over? Or should you back yourself to get a boundary off the last ball? Or at worst, a single? It is easy now that we know what happened but I think the single was on

Just 3 games and looks like season is already over for CSK. They have to win 8 out of next 11. Top order mis-firing, lack of experienced quality bowlers and fielding all over the place. They need a complete overhaul next season starting from coaches and talent scouts #IPL2026

@NoContextCounty There is a difference. He got IPL contract after Essex deal hence he will only miss start of championship. Not like Duckett where he knew beforehand that county season starts in Apr and he makes it in first XI of his county team, despite that went in auction.

@cricketaakash Backup spinner won’t get to play. It will be waste. They already have 3 spinners in playing XI- Axar, Vipraj, Kuldeep. They should go for explosive opener if any available if not should go for fast bowling all rounder.

Ben Duckett pulls out. Just like Brook. IPL teams might start cancelling ‘young’ English players in the future. Perhaps, an opportunity for #DC to make a slight pivot. How about a backup overseas spinner instead? Mujeeb. Keshav. Or someone else!!! They already have so many openers to choose from. #IPL

@mroller98 In that case players will surely register and pull out They will get a chance to try out their market value with nothing to lose. If they get expected money they’ll think about playing. If not they’ll pull out anyways…given its less likely suddenly their value increase next year

Only 3 overseas can play in the XI, there are plenty of English local options available at 3. His name can still be added before auction.
