My 2016 wedding was $135,000. I paid. Women are fed toxic lies. It was the starkest of contrast to the man I was in 2010: unmarried, childless, depressed, broke $0. Want a guy like that? 40 y/o NYer clock wiped out from 2009, hole in shoe, pudgy body, living in a hotel in China. "Cuts own hair, $1.50 meals." Apply now. I know too many 40's "successful" women, childless, unmarried. "Finance, trust fund, 6'5", blue eyes..." All in awe of my wife, failing to "find" anyone, ego-pumping each other on why they should never settle for anything except the guy "good enough". Competing, acting like the men they want. Man Repellers. "But I have this degree, high-paying job, I'm totally independent, and..." And what? You don't need a man. You win. Egg freezing removes urgency. And you pay. "I bring so much to the table. I'm special." Yep, sure are. Awesome, capable men are invisible when a prince is on the mind. My wife saw her awesome man, because she focused on marrying, two kids before 30. Neither of us are special except to each other. I brought her new knowledge, sophistication, intellectual challenge, loving attention, energy, art, music, fashion, travel, self-improvement, and a burning desire to win again. Was enough. "Let's get the money together." She believed in me and supported at lowest point in my life. And the money came. And kids. And my wife will live a long life of womanhood by building a family, proudly satisfied and valued wife and mom. Happy Anniversary, amazing Wanchen.
