📌 The Ideal Payment System buff.ly/3YrSUbS The highly successful Dutch payment system is 19yrs old and has grown beyond ecommerce. It was acquired last year by EPI and in 2026 it will be replaced by the EU Wero wallet.

@fdiaz_wizard @efipm Small correction... EPI is *not* an EU institution, it's a private company founded by a bunch of European banks. "EU Wero" is what they are calling their digital wallet Wero, nothing directly linked to the EU or the EU Commission :-)

@efipm @harari_yuval It's a classic boiling frog scenario. At first they were "merely phone lines" and thus exempt from editorial responsibility. Belatedly we've "discovered", as so well demonstrated by @HumaneTech_ in "The Social Dilemma", that they are far from "just phone lines".
