On his latest stream, @Xaryu said he would be visiting Blizzard next week for something he was unable to reveal.
Much of his community suspects this is related to Classic+, with many believing he may be testing what Blizzard is cooking up.

@1bird_d Probably because the people saying it's "1:1 to CSGO" are delusional nuts that so desperately want the game to be better and have convinced themselves through placebo that it's better.
Those who say it feels worse, are just noticing changes and potentially new bugs/issues.

every single time a cs update comes out literally 50% of the ENTIRE player base says:
"omg they literally made it 1:1 to CS:GO now. Game finally feels playable"
and the other half goes:
"does anyone else feel like the game feels worse now? i can't be the only one :/"

at first i was a fan of animgraph2 but idk if it was one of the updates or what but there is no way people are insta killing around these angles this fast, it feels like youre dead before someone even peeks you, i can't be the only one who feels this way

@OfficialBleh More importantly they need to do it with train and cobble if it ever comes out. Inferno should be re-visited and 'cacheified' as well. Their approach to this rework was spot on in my opinion, just praying they can fix train and scrap the changes and revert it to CSGO layout.

@stnkycs They updated the game to reduce the screen shake whilst spraying guns, with less screen shake means we can see our crosshair/target/screen clearer during shooting. This is a positive change, what I'm saying is perhaps it is now showing us the inconsistencies in shooting clearer.

@FreakazoidA Removing the screen shake almost unveiled the masking it was doing and you'll find shots that look DEAD ON are just not registering or missing. More people are mid movement animation when landing shots also. Peekers advantage is worse with the abrupt springing outward and inward

@CounterStrike Thank you for not butchering the map, pleasantly surprised haven't playtested yet but ran around and i think it's a great iteration. I just hope you can re-visit train and give it similar treatment, if this approach was taken to upgrade the last CSGO version, i think it'd be a 10

@Haarry_CS I like the cleaner cut lines 100%, definitely far better visibility than FMPONE's one - although i do think the aesthetic of a bomb site could present better. Quad makes it look like a paintball arena rather than a real life place - rest of the map i like a lot.

@NeverSinkDev I agree with the graphical comments entirely, every time i come back and look at D4 it just looks to me identical to D3 from a VFX stand point, all the spell effects seem so bland/unfitting. The environmental aesthetic is the only graphics that holds up. Can't get past it..

DIABLO 4 LOH - FINISHED CAMPAIGN (WARLOCK)
FIRST IMPRESSIONS / CAMPAIGN RATING:
This does NOT include the endgame, I'll make another post about it over the next days.
Let me rip the band-aid right off. It's not great.
THE GOOD - 20% OF THE CAMPAIGN
Good cutscenes.
Good dialogues, some plot twists.
It felt like 'old blizzard'.
Interesting returning characters.
Most bossfights are pretty solid!
I was very entertained during those parts!
THE GOOD - TALISMANS
It's a breath of fresh air for D4.
It's not very complex and mostly serves as a stat stick, but I enjoyed engaging with it!
THE GOOD - THE NEW TOWN
Compact, with all important NPCs nearby.
A great hub for the endgame later on.
THE GOOD - WARLOCK SPECIALIZATIONS
The 4 soulshard-demons you can bind are fun and flavorful! Each of them feels very distinct and imo they're by far the best bit of the whole class!
THE MEH - WARLOCK RESOURCE
Warlock uses the Demon Hunter D3 dual resource system... except it's worse in every way.
You use one resource exclusively for 'Archfiends', essentially making it a nuke on a cooldown.
The other one you'll likely be able to sustain near non-stop soon - making it a gear check..
THE MEH - WARLOCK 'ARCHETYPES
It's an illusion of choice.
Most archetypes corner you into a couple of skills/subskills and everything else just doesn't make sense.
For instance, if you want to go Abyss/Shadowform, you basically are stuck with ~5-10 skills/subskills that make sense. Everything else just doesn't fit.
May change in the endgame maybe.
THE MEH - NEW ZONE
Not memorable. Not terrible.
THE BAD - TECHNICAL ISSUES
5+ crashes. I had to redo a lot of quests and areas.
Dialogues and volume are a mess.
NPC dialogues would frequently get completely cut out in the middle, during combat midsentence most of the time.
THE BAD - THE 80% FILLER IN THE CAMPAIGN
It's the WORST kind of filler.
Slaying random mobs until something happens.
Riding through zones of idle enemies, often very monotonous dialogues.
WAITING - sometimes you wait for 5-20 seconds for the NPCs to get to the next 'phase'. I was actively yawning.
The game would've been much better if they'd left the 20% good campaign bits and you'd simply have to fight through areas oldschool like in D2.
THE BAD - SKILL TREEE
ALL passives are gone.
Yes, you get 3 major-subtypes of every skill now, instead of two, but was this trade worth it?
For me personally: no. Absolutely not.
I suspect this makes balancing the game a lot easier.
It's also very boring.
THE BAD - (SOME) VISUALS
I dislike the look of many warlock skills. They look somewhat goofy.
The demon-eye turret and 'Rampage' look like they escaped D3.
Ironically I loved the D2R warlock visuals and it's sad to see them be so poor here.
Graphically some 'new' enemies are D3 enemies repolished and feel a bit out of place.
OVERALL RATING (UNTIL CAMPAIGN END)
5/10.
Talismans are great.
The campaign is 20% great and 80% terrible.
Warlock is OK
The new skilltree has no passives.
The new zone is entirely forgettable.
I'd like to note again that the endgame may be a lot better.
I actually expect it to be a lot better.

@claasic_CS2 OK brother, now play ancient.
CTs take the entire map in first 15 seconds while you either force mid fight and lose 2 players trading out.
OR you wait for the entire utility set on shelf and stand afk outside B door waiting to retake the first section of the map.

The ladder update killed a core skill of CS.
Silent ladder movement wasn’t a “bug”. It was high movement skill, timing, and outplay potential.
A lot of maps are impossible to play…
Bring back old ladder mechanics.

@orzecs @aymeinstein Im NGL you can clearly see by the comments who struggled with ALL types of ladder movement. Everyone liking these comments clearly had issues with it so are pleased that it's now simplified lol. Half the community can't even fast climb

@Fubgun You wont like it because they do not cater to top end zoomers like you and make the majority suffer.
They build a well balanced game that casuals can enjoy and top end players can push for 1-2 weeks then move on.
A formula that makes it the most beloved series in the genre.
