El amor y el desamor según el #EZLN
Marcos descubrió la IA y reaccionó como tío que vio por primera vez Wikipedia en 2007: “la juventud ya no piensa”. Tremenda denuncia de parte de un hombre que lleva treinta años escribiendo cuentos de escarabajos filósofos, gatos detectives y pericos marxistas para explicar que el capitalismo es malo. Ahora resulta que resumir textos es decadencia intelectual, pero redactar veinte páginas para decir “organícense” es resistencia epistemológica.
La crítica empieza confundiendo herramienta con estructura social. Si alguien usa IA para no leer, el problema no es la IA; es el mismo problema que existía con la televisión, el sermón partidista, el periódico empresarial, la escuela memorística y el cuadro político que leyó medio folleto de Lenin y ya quería purgar desviacionistas.
Pero claro, es más fácil declararle la guerra al chatbot que a NVIDIA, Microsoft, OpenAI, Amazon y los fondos de inversión que controlan infraestructura, servidores y datos. El capital concentra el conocimiento colectivo del planeta en granjas energéticas privadas y Marcos decide pelearse con el resumen automático. El Subcomandante contra el Ctrl+C histórico.
Luego viene el drama romántico: la IA amenaza el amor, las emociones, la creatividad humana. Curioso argumento para alguien que convirtió su propia figura pública en una mezcla de guerrillero-poeta, rockstar de izquierda y santo patrono del estudiante de ciencias sociales con café orgánico. El hombre que entendió antes que nadie el marketing político ahora teme que los algoritmos manipulen emociones. El publicista descubre la publicidad.
Y sí, seguramente no conviene hablar de las múltiples visitas del Capitán a moteles de Tlalpan acompañado siempre por alguna “compañera distinta”, porque como en esos lugares rara vez dan factura, pues no existe registro histórico verificable. Aunque quién sabe… tal vez en algún sótano húmedo sobrevivan todavía las cintas viejas de seguridad acumulando polvo dialéctico. Pero no hay que caer en chismes. La ética revolucionaria exige prudencia… sobre todo cuando el archivo audiovisual podría existir.
El texto también romantiza el pasado artesanal del pensamiento. Antes la gente sí reflexionaba, ahora delega en máquinas. Claro. Porque nunca hubo sacerdotes pensando por el pueblo, intelectuales pensando por obreros, partidos pensando por militantes ni caudillos escribiendo líneas políticas que todos repetían sin discutir. La alienación no nació con ChatGPT; sólo recibió actualización de software.
Y sobre la creatividad, el @ezln cae en otra nostalgia rara: como si las herramientas nuevas destruyeran automáticamente el arte. La imprenta “iba a matar la memoria”, el sintetizador “iba a matar la música”, Photoshop “iba a matar la fotografía”, el pixel art “no era arte”, y ahora la IA “mata la imaginación”. Siempre el mismo pánico pequeño burgués disfrazado de defensa cultural.
La discusión material sería otra: ¿quién posee los modelos?, ¿quién captura ganancias?, ¿quién entrena gratis los sistemas con trabajo social acumulado?, ¿quién reemplaza trabajadores y precariza artistas? Pero no. Mejor hacemos una fábula donde la IA es una especie de demonio flojo que seduce jóvenes con resúmenes automáticos mientras @notienlacezap sigue publicando textos que parecen diseñados específicamente para necesitar resumen automático.
Y ahí está el verdadero chiste involuntario: Marcos acusa a la IA de producir simulaciones de pensamiento… desde un personaje construido durante décadas como simulación literaria permanente. El guerrillero, el poeta, el filósofo, el narrador, el humo, la máscara, el mito, la firma, la mercancía cultural anti-mercancía.
El capitalismo convierte todo en producto. Incluso al hombre que lleva treinta años denunciándolo mientras administra cuidadosamente su propia leyenda.

Te metiste a un post mío en mi TL, dónde yo pongo las reglas y decidí quien responde, no tú, y que poco tenía que ver contigo pero estabas deseoso de seguir debatiendo cuando yo ya había cerrado la otra conversación por tu reduccionismo y me despedí de ti. Ahora vienes desesperado a un nuevo post, buscando mi atención. Porque simplemente desmonté tus argumentos y no pudiste refutar nada. Ya mejor retírate porque no aportas nada, ni al debate, ni al tema, ni a esta otra conversación.

Mis felicitaciones a quienes crearon la #IA. Considero que lo mejor que le puede pasar a la humanidad es que a la IA la usen únicamente en sectores de I&D. Debería estar prohibida la propaganda de la IA para uso personal/ masivo ya que su uso cotidiano afectará negativamente la escritura, el razonamiento, la velocidad mental y la salud mental. El pensamiento no debe ser terciarizado, el diálogo se debe mantener con humanos. La busqueda artesanal de fuentes fiables es lo que garantiza acceder a información de calidad y genuina. Quienes fomentan el uso en todos los sectores, edades y disciplinas, son cómplices del deterioro de lo más preciado que tiene nuestra especie.

También se decía que Wikipedia atrofiaba el aprendizaje y que internet destruía la memoria. La diferencia no la hace la herramienta, sino el uso y el criterio. Una IA puede volver flojo a alguien o volverlo mucho más capaz y ahí indirectamente tendrías algo de razón, puede que no sea para todos o para ti.

@Solanaenie Si prohíbes la propaganda de la IA para uso masivo, entonces limitas su democratización y acceso social. Ese mismo miedo existió con internet, Wikipedia y los buscadores: decían que “atrofiaban” el pensamiento. Hoy son infraestructura básica del conocimiento.

Sí hablaste de prohibir. Literalmente dijiste: “Debería estar prohibida la propaganda de la IA para uso personal/masivo”.
Y el resto del mensaje refuerza esa idea: planteas que el uso cotidiano deteriora capacidades humanas y que promoverlo en todos los sectores vuelve “cómplices” a quienes lo impulsan.

Honestly, a lot of anti-AI arguments fall apart because they romanticize human learning as if it were completely different from absorbing previous works. No artist creates from a vacuum. Every artist learned by studying, copying, practicing anatomy from other artists, consuming films, music, photography, books, techniques, styles and references created before them.
Art schools literally teach people by making them replicate perspective, lighting, composition and existing artistic techniques. Musicians learn by playing other people’s songs. Producers recreate mixes. Writers imitate structures and influences. Human creativity has always been cultural recombination.
So it feels hypocritical when anti-AI people suddenly act like learning from existing material becomes “theft” only when a machine analyzes patterns faster.
And no, this does not mean humans and AI function identically. Humans have emotions, life experience, memory and social context. But anti-AI rhetoric often exaggerates this difference to pretend human learning is somehow “pure” while machine learning is illegitimate.
Historically, every major artistic tool was attacked the same way:
“Photography isn’t art because the camera does the work.”
“Sampling isn’t real music.”
“Synthesizers are killing music.”
“Autotune destroys talent.”
“Digital art has no soul.”
“Pixel art isn’t real art.”
Eventually all of those tools became normalized and integrated into artistic culture.
AI is simply another stage in that process: reducing technical barriers and democratizing creative production.
And that’s where much of the real discomfort comes from.
For decades, technical skill acted as a gatekeeping mechanism. If you wanted to animate, compose orchestral music, produce films or create complex visual work, you needed expensive equipment, years of training and specialized knowledge. AI disrupts part of that monopoly by allowing more people to transform imagination into tangible output.
That does NOT mean “everyone is automatically an artist.” Owning a guitar does not make someone a musician. Downloading FL Studio does not make someone a producer. Buying a camera does not make someone a photographer.
Tools democratize access. They do not guarantee talent, vision or artistic identity.
And anti-AI people constantly reduce AI-assisted creativity to the weakest possible example:
“Someone typed one sentence and accepted the first image.”
But that ignores how many people actually work with AI:
- refining prompts,
- discarding generations,
- editing compositions,
- correcting anatomy,
- building narratives,
- assembling scenes,
- mixing tools,
- doing post-production,
- creating aesthetic consistency.
That is still human creative direction.
Another contradiction is that many anti-AI artists already accept forms of art where the creator does not manually execute every aspect:
- film directing,
- photography,
- collage,
- music production,
- sampling,
- VFX,
- sequencing,
- digital editing,
- plugins,
- presets,
- procedural workflows.
But suddenly AI crosses an invisible moral line they can never clearly define.
Why? Because the fear is not purely ethical. It is also cultural and economic. AI threatens the romantic image of the artist as an exclusive technical craftsman.
Now, to be fair, not every criticism of AI is invalid. There ARE legitimate concerns:
- datasets scraped without consent,
- corporate monopolization,
- labor displacement,
- exploitation of artists,
- mass-produced low quality content,
- aesthetic homogenization.
Those are real debates worth having.
But saying:
“AI is not art”
or
“AI only steals”
is an extremely shallow simplification of a much more complex reality.
Humans have always extended their creative abilities through tools. AI is not breaking that historical pattern. It is simply the newest chapter of it.

I have a question for Anti AI artists?
When you do to school and learn how to draw, paint, sculpt, and what not….are you not just copying work that has previously been created to learn how to draw or paint? And if you take that skill of drawing and then start selling your drawings after learning how to draw in someone else’s work and making money on it are you not being hypocritical towards AI for doing the exact same thing?
I’m genuinely curious what artists have to say on this, no animosity here, I’d really like to get some input and some insight into why artists think AI steals when it was given data that was purchased from sites like Deviant Art over an artist learning from a book or a teacher for whom they have bought or sold their knowledge for you to learn as well.
I’d love to debate this, but any trash talking and attack is not going to be accepted, please be respectful and don’t let emotions take over.

If my client sends me a loose sketch of an idea for art they want to commission, and I draw a piece inspired by their doodle, it's still my art, not theirs
