I came across this theory that AI is getting worse because the internet is drowning in AI-generated slop. The thought of AI cannibalising itself into irrelevance is honestly one of my favourite concepts. I really hope it’s true and impossible to fix.

@i_hassannn @gaurangbuilds Actually, no. AI will hardly reach an artistic level equal to humans. You would need to manually edit some things, but of course, if you don’t have artists on your team to do it, it won’t be possible.

No. It’s boring because you’re not telling a story. Who is preparing the meal? Why should I care? If you have a story to tell, generative AI allows you to tell it in ways previously inaccessible to solo artists.

Let's be real, the vast majority of you do over charge and under deliver, that is a stance taking by most of the customers of said project, so it aint an AI bro exclusive thing.
I won't pretend that there is low hanging fruit out there to ridicule the quality of some peoples AI projects. But to class them all as such is just blind ignorance or dishonesty, so fucking pick one.
And even if I was good faith for all of your arguments, you literally just confirmed that it happens and they deserved it... so fuck you harder.

Literally ever since generative AI appeared, you people haven’t stopped saying things like, “AI will put an end to greedy artists who charge for their art,” or “I created this $300 million movie trailer with only two dollars” — which, by the way, is just a copy-and-paste of the generic garbage we already see today. With that kind of arrogant and malicious rhetoric, you yourselves have earned the hatred of artists.

@ANoNameXworker @Skyebrows It would be unfair to judge it precisely because it is a collage of several videos. Objectively, I would find many issues because the creator focused on putting these videos together rather than necessarily checking their quality.

@Cloud__VT @AkiYuStudio De alguna forma no te puedo apoyar al 100% ya que hay gente que trabaja haciendo portadas, stickers y demás cosas para Youtubers qué superan en creces las cosas hechas con IA. Pero si la vas a ocupar, hazlo creando diseños distintivos al menos, para diferenciarte de los demás.

@Cloud__VT @AkiYuStudio Para ser honesto, no te puedo pedir que te abstengas del uso de la IA en un medio donde es más importante el contenido que la forma en la que se presenta, la gente en yt no quiere ser llamada artistas. Ahora, preocupate de generar algo distintivo en tus portadas.

Opinion impopular:
Si un cliente vino con una referencia hecha con ia, tomo la comision.
La IA es una herramienta, el hecho que una persona venga a pedir una comision de su personaje, esto me da entender que el entiende que la mano de obra de un artista esta por encima algo que la IA puede generar, simplemente no tiene las habilidades para plasmar su idea de personaje, pedir a un artista una imagen generada con ia no te hace menos, entendamos que la IA aunque a muchos les incomode es una herramienta, como artistas tenemos movernos en el contexto en el que vivimos.
Creanme que las personas que usan IA y solo se quedan con eso, nunca fueron clientes potenciales. La persona que valora el trabajo humano y lo que cada artista hace en cada una de sus obras, por más que exista la IA siempre preferiran comisionar.
Si opinan distinto, me gustaria que me den a entender su punto de vista :3

Controversial topic: AI. I think most artists despise AI. This is pretty much clear. But we shouldn’t treat the people who USE AI like they are also slop. They might just be uneducated on how much trouble AI causes. Can we try something like this next time, artists?

Enhorabuena al @AytoTudela por convocar un concurso de carteles en los que se prohibía usar la IA, y enhorabuena a la ganadora, Ana Martínez, por haberle sacado 2000 pavos a un ayuntamiento desinformado. Ana, yo calculo que has invertido media horita como mucho. Ni siquiera te has molestado en pasarla por Photoshop para disimular defectos ni quitarle el virado a naranja/ocre propio de algunas IAs. Daría CIEN euros por asistir a una charla tuya contando el proceso creativo y enseñando cómo lo hiciste, pero, oye, disfruta de los 2000 lereles.
