A year ago, Firefly ignited the lunar economy as the first commercial company to successfully land on the Moon. Congrats to all our Fireflies who made their mark on the lunar surface and thank you @NASA for trusting us along the ride!

NINGUNO. Porque no es rentable dedicar medio equipo toda una mañana a un crío. EL PROBLEMA Nos venden "tecnología futurista" cuando lo revolucionario es otra cosa: que tengamos un sistema que puede gastarse recursos infinitos en salvar la rodilla de un niño sin preguntar cuánto cuesta. Eso NO lo hace una impresora. RESUMEN: Gran cirugía. Equipazo. Resultado perfecto. Pero dejad de vendernos la impresora 3D como si fuera el protagonista. El protagonista es un sistema público que puede hacer Tetris con huesos reales durante 8 horas sin mirar el reloj. Viva la sanidad pública. Que es la única lo suficientemente loca para invertir todo eso en salvar UNA pierna.

The hard work, dedication and focus across the entire @NASA enterprise came down to this – even though it was only the beginning of our journey. But as Walter Cronkite remarked at the time, “The dawn of this day heralded the dawning of a new age. It’s a time of exhilaration, reflection, hope, fulfillment – as a centuries’ old dream starts toward reality.”

Watch Firefly land on the Moon! After identifying surface hazards and selecting a safe landing site, #BlueGhost landed directly over the target in Mare Crisium. A historic moment on March 2 we'll never forget. We have Moon dust on our boots! #BGM1

After flying to a peak altitude of ~90km, traveling more than 60 km downrange from Starbase, and completing its boostback burn and coast, Super Heavy ignited its landing burn less than 40 meters away from the preflight target. The Raptor engines and booster guidance system precisely maneuvered the vehicle through the highest wind speeds yet for a Super Heavy landing burn. Upgrades to the chopstick controls enabled them to start wider and move earlier for catch, expanding the envelope for booster landing burn trajectories.
