#Intel's 290K Plus did NOT fail to launch because the "270K Plus was too close". This never stopped Intel from launching jokes like the 14900KS in the past!🤦♂️
Intel didn't launch it because the binning and marketing costs would push the price too high for it to make any sense.
In the past Intel could get away with milking their fanboys for ~$700 with things like the 14900KS because it still traded blows in gaming with the 7800X3D, but they can't do the same this time around with the 9850X3D & 9950X3D2 dominating....

@BenNollWeather @capitalweather That’s what happened for El Niño 1997

@j340 @capitalweather Yes, there are pretty strong signals for more typhoons than normal in the West Pacific this year.

@ShishirShelke1 I liked the version before this ! Idk why they changed it or why they didn’t have the option to use the older one.

@durreadan01 Remember peak charge rate only stays there for a few min max and then slows down. So going only off of peak charge rate isn’t enough. You have to test from 0 to full.

@IntCyberDigest Well at least ai is being used for Good. I like to see results like this. But the concerning part is when mythos or similar ai models get into the hands of attackers, zero day exploits galore. Maybe it’s time to rethink the paradigm/languages used to write OS kernels.

❗️🚨 BREAKING: Researchers used Mythos Preview to find the first public macOS kernel memory corruption exploit on Apple's M5 silicon, they give a glimpse into Mythos say it’s really powerful.
Apple spent five years and an estimated several billion dollars building Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE), the hardware-assisted memory safety system built around ARM's MTE. It was the flagship security feature of the M5 and A19, designed specifically to kill the entire memory corruption bug class.
Researchers from Calif built a working exploit in five days.
According to Apple's own research, MIE disrupts every public exploit chain against modern iOS, including the recently leaked Coruna and Darksword kits. Calif walked into Apple Park this week and handed over the report in person.
Full 55-page technical report drops after Apple patches the vulnerability.

Interesting.
Tesla’s current AI5 chip, codenamed Helios, is reportedly being foundried by TSMC and Samsung, and the next-generation AI6 was also originally expected to be split between those two foundries.
However, under strong pressure and encouragement from the Trump administration, the portion of AI6 that was originally assigned to TSMC will reportedly be transferred entirely to Intel Foundry.

Apple is “simplifying” the camera control on iPhone 18 Pro.
It can only be pressed now, not swiped on. Terrible news for the 4 people using it for that.
Anyway, here’s a bright idea:
If it’s only gonna be useful for opening the camera now, why not just remove it and add dual functionality to the Action Button instead? Like double press for camera, single and double press for this and that.
Camera control already sucks for takin photos (cause too much shake), so it’s not like it’s useful for anything other than opening the camera already. So why not put that functionality in the action button instead through software?
