@emilyvdw Somehow, I managed to use the fact that everyone is a little bit gay as one more reason to avoid accepting myself for decades. I felt that everyone else must be repressing themselves as much as I was and that it would be sheer self indulgence to break down. Anyways I was silly.

@emilyvdw I find these works out perform both Moorcock's Elric and Vance's Dying Earth and will gladly argue this with anyone who's willing to read and discuss.

@emilyvdw After rereading them several times for several years I am still convinced that C.J. Cherryh's first book circa 1972 and it's sequels The Gate of Ivrel (followed by the Well of Shiuan, The Fires of Azeroth, and Exiles Gate) are superlative sword and sorcery.
