9:00 AM Sunrise is more insane than most people realize. That's 1.5 class periods into school before the sun even rises. 2 hours into most blue collar workdays. That extra hour of daylight (in cold winter when everyone is inside anyway) from 5-6p isn't worth it at all.

The U.S. House will vote this week on whether or not to make daylight saving time permanent. Essentially, we would not change the clocks again (no "falling back"). As I've mentioned over the years, below are 3 options and how they would look in Indianapolis, IN: current system, year-round daylight saving time & year-round standard time. Year-round daylight saving time would result in a 9:02 AM sunrise and 6:23 PM sunset on the winter solstice.

33 days till this World Cup venue hosts a preseason NFL game. FIFA World Cup signage still up at Arrowhead Stadium, but the process of cleaning up is in full swing. Hundreds of workers started Sunday and they’re back at it again today. @kmbc

@florida_grand I like it. The goal/law should be updated for each state to be able to determine their own needs. I understand a lot of northern states this probably wouldn’t work great. But for Florida it would be great 👍🏻
