@LogikaAgency @VRCatalans @threejs Please let me know if you find an alternative. I say ditch the Meta lock-in: Scan rooms with Quest or iPhone/iPad LiDAR , export clean meshes, then edit semantic scene graphs in Pascal

@j_brissonneau @VRCatalans @threejs is there an alternative to this ? i assume you need their gear to be able to scan an environment ? is it really the go to model for this ? also in terms of uploading personal spaces into metas cloud ?

La buena gente de @pascal_app ha lanzado un editor de arquitectura en 3d desde el navegador y desde entonces estoy diseñando casas miesianas (link en el siguiente tweet)

Added a 2D tool to @pascal_app Gets you to a rough building layout much quicker! Thanks @SeeOn__ for the creativity, check out his stuff!

Someone built a full 3D building editor that runs entirely in your browser. - No AutoCAD. No Revit. No $5,000/year licenses. - Renders at near-native speed via WebGPU - Edit walls, zones, and levels in real time - Stack, explode, or solo individual building floors in 3D Architecture firms pay $50K+ per seat for software that does this. This is free. 100% open source.

🚨Architects are going to hate this. Someone just open sourced a full 3D building editor that runs entirely in your browser. No AutoCAD. No Revit. No $5,000/year licenses. It's called Pascal Editor. Built with React Three Fiber and WebGPU -- meaning it renders directly on your GPU at near-native speed. Here's what's inside this thing: → A full building/level/wall/zone hierarchy you can edit in real time → An ECS-style architecture where every object updates through GPU-powered systems → Zustand state management with full undo/redo built in → Next.js frontend so it deploys as a web app, not a desktop install → Dirty node tracking -- only re-renders what changed, not the whole scene Here's the wildest part: You can stack, explode, or solo individual building levels. Select a zone, drag a wall, reshape a slab -- all in 3D, all in the browser. Architecture firms pay $50K+ per seat for BIM software that does this workflow. This is free. 100% Open Source.

@heygurisingh The Sims 4 had the best building editor. Sketchup is nice too but I don't like the guess work of having to measure wall height & scaling.

@heygurisingh the real magic is that it's web GPU accelerated. what do you think the learning curve looks like compared to traditional tools? curious if clients will value the output the same..

@heygurisingh Does it really do real-time ambient occlusion ( soft proximity shadows ) while working on the fly?

Correct. Not Gaussian Splats. Hyperscape captures photorealistic splats but locks the data in Meta's cloud. This is the Quest's spatial mesh + semantic understanding (walls, doors, furniture) exported as a structured scene graph you can actually edit in Pascal 3D editor. Different goal: editable architecture vs photorealistic capture.

@j_brissonneau @threejs this looks superuseful but what does it have to do with hyperscape? hyperscape is a gaussian splat model, this isn't what you're exporting, is it?
