Built OpenUSD v26.03 from source today just to check out the new 3D Gaussian Splats support. Converted a splat PLY to USD, opened it in usdview, and it worked with the sample hdParticleField renderer. Very fun to see this land in OpenUSD.

Correct. Not Gaussian Splats. Hyperscape captures photorealistic splats but locks the data in Meta's cloud. This is the Quest's spatial mesh + semantic understanding (walls, doors, furniture) exported as a structured scene graph you can actually edit in Pascal 3D editor. Different goal: editable architecture vs photorealistic capture.

By saying “locally” I didn’t actually mean that local LLMs, although that could be a benefit too. What truly unblocked me in this demo was agent can: - live in my terminal together with ComfyUI - use CLI & call ComfyUI heartlessly, directly manage versions - Unlimited concurrent API model calls (I commonly run 20 Nano Banana or Kling workflows all at once) - Assets return to local and reorganize my folders - So easy to work with editing tools (also mostly local)

People will gradually understand how good it is for ComfyUI to work with agent tools locally. I ask my agent to recreate any social media videos I saw and all I do is dropping the urls. This was a demo a month ago. I have a way better version now.
