@robertmays Closing out those close games is something that is a reflection on the head coach as well though. Either way, I’m rooting for it to work out for you as someone that went many, many years without stability at HC and QB. Life is much more fun on the other side.

@j_conti23 I have my problems with the thought process and decision, but the difference between 6-10 and 3-14 when the Bears had awful luck in one-score games doesn’t bother me.

A comparison that seems worth mentioning with the Bears' situation: Buffalo with McDermott. Made the playoffs in Yr 1, but fired their OC and hired Daboll in 2018, the year they brought in Allen. It's not a 1-to-1. More job security all around. But an example of how it can work.

@robertmays Understood, but I think 6-10 with the 2018 Bills roster speaks to McD’s ability over the 3-14 bottoming out the Bears had last year. I don’t believe Eberflus has done enough to warrant the kind of belief that McD had here. Especially with the Bears likely resetting at QB again.

@j_conti23 I'd push back on that. In a lot of ways, the first two years are just flipped. Buffalo ate their dead money in Year 2 and bottomed out. The Bears did it in Year 1 and bottomed out. The quality of this Bears season and Buffalo's playoff year aren't all that different.

Worst fantasy beat ever. Took the lead on the 92 yard touchdown drive by Lock only to lose it because the kneel down was 2 yards instead of 1 on the final play of the game after the interception with 6 seconds left. The final possible play I could lose after a miracle comeback.
