On Jan. 2, 2002, Wall Street Journal Danny Pearl wrote a headline that could be published today: “Militant groups in Pakistan thrive despite crackdown.” India has announced important news: its air strike in Bahawalpur killed Abdul Rauf Azhar, the mastermind of the hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999 that led to the freeing of his terrorist brother, Masood Azhar, and the kidnapper Omar Sheikh who went on to kidnap Danny Pearl. According to my years of reporting on Danny’s murder for the @DPearlProject. Abdul Rauf Azhar was not directly invoked in Danny’s kidnapping and murder but he was very important because he freed Omar Sheikh who went on to kidnap Danny. I am going to share with you the actual police documents from Danny’s case, so you can see how other militants from Bahawalpur were involved in Danny’s case. Danny’s prescient article documented about Pakistan’s domestic terrorism industry. 🔴 Danny knew the importance of the freeing of the men from India’s jails in exchange for the Indian Airlines passengers. He talks about Masood Azhar. 🔴 Danny wrote that "posters praising holy war still hung inside” militant offices in Bahawalpur, a magazine urging readers to support “warriors of Islam.” 🔴 Danny walked across dirt roads in Bahawalpur to find Masood Azhar’s Jaish-e-Muhammad office where it was recruitment day. Danny could have written this article today to help people understand Pakistan and its militancy problem today. @Yudapearl, a special note to you: Danny sent his dear mother, Ruth Pearl, his article and cautioned her: "Don’t freak out too much about my story in today’s paper." I typed up every word from an old scan of the article so the world can read Danny’s reporting genius. I’ll post it in this thread, @AartiTikoo and all. 🔴 Omar Sheikh organized Danny’s kidnapping. A total of at least 27 Pakistani militants were involved in the plot, many foot soldiers from Masood Azhar’s Jihad Inc. network. 🔴 Only 4 men were convicted in the courts and essentially freed in 2020 by the courts despite our judicial efforts to keep them in jail. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who organized the 9/11 attack, allegedly beheaded Danny and he is in Guantanamo.

(1) Dear Mr @campbellwilson @airindia Ive been moved from Hyd-Del AI2541 flight to AI2890 delaying my arrival by an hour. Last I flew AI was Paris-Del in Feb 2019 and swore off AI. Clearly my memory had faded! Thank you for the lesson to never book on your airline again

EXCLUSIVE: Star Health is a $1.4B revenue insurance company whose CISO sold ~31 million Indians' data from salary to PAN card to a Chinese hacker for $43k. Ever wondered how these things happen? Here's a breakdown of the events "allegedly" with video proof. 1. Amarjeet Khanuja, CISO of Star Health, reaches out to xenZen through a referral from denol on encrypted chat app Tox on July 6, 2024. 2. xenZen says yes and they negotiate and land on $28k for customer data on Monero (crypto). CISO doesn't know Bitcoin is a bad idea for this nor has ever used escrow. 3. CISO sends hacker login credential and an API endpoint w/details on their proton mail. Hacker sends money and gets it. 4. On July 20, CISO says I can also give you all the claims data. They agree on $15k and repeat the above. 5. Five days later, hacker says his access was revoked and CISO says "You've taken 5TB and I want $150k now because senior management wants a cut." 6. Hacker asks for a refund and gives final warning. 7. xenZen posted a sale listing on BreachForums for diplomatic passports of India (unrelated). 8. Sep 25 is when the starhealthleak website drops with 2 Telegram bots for customer and claims data. From private sources, xenZen says he's bought and sold data from Indian companies before. Attached is video evidence which is unlikely to be spoofed. The media did not care until I posted about it yesterday. Star Health responded by legal threats against Telegram and Cloudflare and a forensic investigation. People in power in India (and perhaps elsewhere) will sell your data in a heartbeat. Why? No one seems to care.
