And I’d like to remind everyone that not so long ago, by helping Ukraine with weapons, America was: - securing valuable contracts for its own defense industry and spending a large part of U.S.-Congress-allocated funds in America - gaining massive global advertising for American weapons, which in Ukrainian hands performed superbly in a war against a vastly superior enemy (just look at the impact systems like the Bradley, HIMARS, and Patriot had) - gaining an extremely loyal ally in Ukraine, ready to share its cutting-edge experience from a new era of warfare, especially in drones and highly intensive missile defense - reinforcing its image as the arsenal of democracy and the powerful leader of the free world, sending a clear signal to dictatorships worldwide: don’t even think about wars of conquest, we will support our democratic allies - sending Ukraine, to a significant extent, older weapons from its stockpiles that would have had to be written off anyway in the future, while simultaneously modernizing its own arsenals - achieving the radical military weakening of an aggressive militaristic Russia, a dictatorship fundamentally built on revenge for the Cold War, hatred of America and the West, and a desire to dismantle the American-led world order And all of this -- without a single American servicemember having to get deployed and fire a single shot. Ukraine pleaded, humbly asking for nothing more than a simple win-win partnership: with your weapons we save ourselves from extermination -- you get a defeated fascist Russia. I genuinely cannot understand how anyone could trade all of that for absurd lies about “$350 billion,” then smear and humiliate Ukraine, insult America’s key NATO allies, side with that KGB cyborg in the Kremlin -- and then to squander billions of dollars, cost American lives, and derail the global economy in a poorly thought-out war in the Middle East. And then eventually end up asking Ukraine to help defend American bases in Jordan from Iranian-Russian drones.

Trump was not bothered by Russia paying a bounty to the Taliban to kill Americans. Trump is not bothered by Russia providing Iran intelligence to kill Americans. People should be making the connections to realize Trump's loyalties do not lie with the United States.

Let me run you through the last few days. 1) Trump insults Zelensky and the WH says it was a mistake to help Ukraine. 2) the USA begs Ukraine for help fighting Iranian drones. 3) Ukraine starts helping the US. 4) Reports come out that Putin is giving Iran intelligence to help attack Americans 5) The WH says that is fine.

CORRIERE DELLA SERA: If you had guarantees from your allies with their troops on the ground, would you be ready to abandon all of Donbas? ZELENSKYY: First of all, the Russians don't want foreign troops in Ukraine. And I believe Europe should be more firm on this point. I don't see why Moscow should decide which troops are stationed on our soil. Second, I will never leave Donbas and the 200,000 Ukrainians who live there. Why on earth should I do that? Because Putin imposes it as a condition for peace? And will he immediately impose new demands? No, I'm not having it. Besides, our best defense strongholds are here; if we withdraw, the Russians will have a free hand towards the center of the country.

The international Olympic movement is becoming a plaything in the hands of tyrants. How can the use of one’s national colors and symbols on competition or parade uniforms be considered political and therefore banned? At the same time, athletes from an aggressor state, including veterans, are allowed to compete in the Paralympic Games.

Never before made public until today, the Russians attacked the train carrying US General Ben Hodges, roof exploding. This was amid a nationwide Russian sabotage operation that attacked trains in 5 locations in the Netherlands. European governments are doing everything to keep these growing attacks quiet because admitting that they're happening means they'd need to respond, and Russians have Carte Blanche.

That was an amazing hockey game, and our team has amazing athletes. To see them agree to be used as props for a malignant narcissistic dictator is painful.

The real takeaway from this State of the Union speech is that Trump has completely lost narrative control. Nothing stuck. Nothing was meme worthy. He has no credibility with the American people and his biggest chance to turn that around was just…. meh

Former NATO SecGen Rasmussen says it clearly: Europe must deploy to western 🇺🇦 now. At least 20,000 troops and 150 aircraft. Create a safe zone to protect civilians. Not "next year", not when it's convenient. Now! Send a message to Moscow and Washington, a message to the world

"Is this really the Estonia that we wanted?" This was one of the most frequently asked questions for many years after regaining indipendance. Is this the country we were fighting for? Is this the country of our dreams? #2 World’s most advanced digital state (E-goverment Index) #6 Global Democracy Index #12 Global Corruption Perceptions Index #1 Best tax system among OECD countries (11 consecutive years) #1 Highest venture capital investments by technology companies in Europe (2015–2024, per capita measure) #4 Media Literacy Index (OSI Sofia) #6 Press Freedom Index #4 PISA global ranking and #1 in Europe This is not only "the Estonia that we wanted" but this is even so much better that we could dream of. Happy Birthday, dear Estonia!

There are many dictatorships in the world. Some seal themselves off within their own borders, trying to block any outside influence of freedom. And others do not recognize borders at all and actively try to destroy the freedom of their neighbors, entire regions, and sometimes even the whole world. When we deal with Russia, we face the second type of threat. It is a mentally unstable dictatorship that cannot accept that in Europe every life matters, human rights are important, and nations can be protected whether they are big or small. Putin cannot accept one simple thing – that somewhere people can live differently and enjoy a life that is not the one he prefers. That is why he has been consistently trying to break someone – not just now, not just for 4 years, but throughout his entire time in power. He is war itself. And anyone who supports Putin cannot fail to understand that they are choosing war. From my address to the European Parliament.

Four years have passed since Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine. Russia was supposed to win in three days. Instead, Ukraine reinvented modern warfare, built a drone industry, and can destroy a thousand Russian soldiers in a day. Ukraine can win.

For Ukraine, the Trump presidency has brought more merciless targeting of civilians by Russia, more unrestrained devastation - all enabled by a US president shameless in his pro-Putin sympathies. The pretense of Trump as a "peacemaker" in Ukraine is the cruelest of his lies.
