I will never use Supabase again. It's free... until you have too much data. Then they lock EVERYTHING - even the delete button. Couldn't free my own space. Couldn't export my own files. One option left: pay $25. That's not a free tier. That's a hostage tier.

I get an app idea. I start working on it because I find it useful. I see similar apps on the internet. I get demotivated. I stop working on it. Never make it public. Repeat with other ideas. Can I somehow overcome this crap?

@levelsio What are you using to connect the lights with HA so that analog switch still works? I was thinking about using Shelly switches or something, but haven't tested them yet.

Everything in my house is analog switches with KNX (European system came with the house) but it works with Home Assistant with a little device, which means everything is analog buttons but you can automate them I hated home automation before this because I don't want to control stuff with my phone, or an iPad on the wall, it's TERRIBLE It should always be analog buttons first which then integrate and you can add home automation in an invisible way (like put lights red at 10pm)

I have used MySQL successfully. Then turned to MongoDB and was a big fan of it. Then turned to Supabase and just felt in love. With everyone I had success and basically no complaints. So imo it really doesnt matter much. In the AI area while a big fan of Cloudflare, I am experimenting with D1 lately. Added a few things: - a backend for storing users and projects (via flarelink.dev) - Google auth - Share projects - creates a sharable read-only link that you can send to your architect or friend.

imo scale doesnt mean more code, but more product usage. And more product usage doesn't have to mean more code. Right now at scale you can still have like 1-2 engineers maybe who can manage a lot of stuff. I think when already at scale then the most difficult part is to find people on the team who can support all the users, try to keep them and get new ones for a healthy growth rate. Meaning that vibe coded or not - doesn't make any difference.

@jaankoppe @toddsaunders I think the scale here is tested to the limit kind of thing with integrations and all of that and not just some strings of codes.

Are folks actually vibe coding their own internal CRMs? Lots of people talking about it, but I havent seen someone actually do this in practice or at scale.
