She said it started like a normal date… until it didn’t.
He was 19 years older, already opening up about “trust issues” because his ex-wife cheated; with her own cousin; and ended up marrying him. Red flag? Maybe. But the night was going fine… except for the nonstop drinking. Hours passed, drinks kept coming, and then he stepped away to the bathroom. During that time, the staff switched shifts, and a new waiter took over. When her date came back, he casually invited a couple of “friends” to join them. She said sure; why not? The vibe felt okay… at first.
Then things got weird. The waiter approached carefully, trying not to interrupt, just asking if they needed anything. Out of nowhere, her date flipped. He wrapped his arm around his friend, ignored her completely, and snapped: “Look at this… I’m on a date and this whore is talking to a random man in front of me.” She froze. “What are you even talking about? That’s our waiter.” And then… plot twist: she realized the waiter was actually her cousin. She got up and left right there.
Honestly… this isn’t just a bad date, it’s a warning. The drinking, the jealousy, the disrespect; it escalated fast. Sometimes people tell you exactly who they are, and it’s on us to listen early.

She thought the hardest part was dialing 911… but that was just the beginning. After her husband attacked her, she called for help and base police took him into custody. Then it got worse: her bank access was gone, account numbers changed, and money moved without her consent. Now base police weren’t just documenting a domestic incident… they were actively searching for him. It’s terrifying how fast a situation can escalate; from feeling unsafe in your own home to realizing someone may be planning something bigger while cutting off your resources. What would you do first in a situation like this; focus on personal safety, finances, or helping authorities track him down?

🚨HORRIFYING🚨 Jurors will listen to the audio of 7-year-old Athena Strand being strangled to death by FedEx driver Tanner Horner. Horner pleaded guilty to capital murder, but a juror will decide if he should be sentenced to death. Strand told the child, “Don't scream or I'll hurt you,” as he picked her up and put her in his truck. The child tried to fight Strand off during the attack—his DNA was found under her nails. Prosecutors added that his DNA was found, “in places where you shouldn't find DNA on a 7-year-old girl.” The girl’s mother is for the death penalty being implemented.

NEW: FedEx driver who is accused of abducting and strangling a seven-year-old girl, puts his face in his hand as a photo is displayed of him driving her to her death.
7-year-old Athena Strand was seen standing behind Tanner Horner in his FedEx truck.
Athena was allegedly snatched by Horner when he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas.
Horner initially claimed that he accidentally hit the girl with the truck before "panicking" and pulling her into the vehicle.
He said he then strangled her in the vehicle and dumped the body 7 miles from the home.
The photo, however, shows that Athena was alert in the truck and did not appear to have been struck by the truck.
Wise County District Attorney James Stainton says the jury will see footage on the day of the killing, depicting the moment Athena was strangled to death.
"Somebody covered up the camera because they don't want you to see. Guess what? Audio is still running, and you're going to hear it. You're going to hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child," he said.
"And when I say it's horrible, I mean it. I've been doing this for 25 years, and I promise you, buckle up."
Horner qualifies for the death penalty.

The Dodgers mourn the loss of Davey Lopes, who passed away today at age 80. Lopes was a member of the team’s record-setting infield of the 1970s and 1980s and one of the finest basestealers in MLB history. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
