Significance: Uranium at 60% purity is highly enriched (HEU) and can be quickly converted into 90% weapons-grade material, posing significant non-proliferation concerns. Timing: Starting from the 60% enriched material, a single cascade of 175 IR-6 centrifuges could produce the “weapons-grade” material needed for one nuclear weapon every 25 days. With more cascades, this would go proportionally faster. Status of Monitoring: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported in 2025 and early 2026 that they had lost "continuity of knowledge" regarding the exact location of the stockpile after Iran restricted surveillance.
