Idk what people are smoking, there’s not a single exchange product experience for normal people that is remotely close to the delivering the caliber of experience that regulated sportsbooks do. They are 2-3 years of development away (before regulatory touches the product at all)

To be honest on Kalshi vast majority of the markets are made liquid by Wall Street quant market makers or sportsbooks, not even individual humans who are sharps. Kalshi just like to suggest it’s peer to peer cause it sounds more palatable to rec gamblers but they all get crushed there

@mattkalish Worst few months of gambling happened when I discovered oddsjam and started ripping +5%EV bets without enough unit sizing discipline. Got limited everywhere and lost a shit load doing it. Everyone thinks they understand variance.

Def too many advantage gamblers planting the idea that it’s easy or even possible to make a job of it. Most all are quite unhappy doing it themselves even if they can let’s keep it real. It’s a tough thing, a “business” that has no customers. So have to come with narratives to try and press people to lose money to you. But there’s no customers today and never has been in history for the business of professionally winning money gambling. Unless you are fun to gamble with at lose to eg golf/poker 🙂

These US fed securities must be listed by registered options BDs

Look at the amount of order flow that comes onto Kalshi from Robinhood and tell me which of those 3 categories you think contributes to that number. Hint: it’s none of them. You may not understand it, but recs absolutely are heavily using Kalshi right now.

Slippage is a real issue in lower liq longshot markets When users move the price we specifically show them their new price quote. Simply showing the payout isn’t gonna cut it and users will be PISSED (we saw this first hand)
