@Murd1973 Absolutely. We aren't good enough, and Arsenal aren't brilliant either, however they defend well and grind out those all important results.

But the constant reliance on blaming refs for poor decisions that barely exists and creating conspiracy theories is just a safely blanket many City fans use instead of appreciating that we’re just not ready yet. Not close.

Strangely ok with us just falling short. It’s clear for all to see we’re just not there yet. And that’s okay, for nowX We’ve bought that many players that we always needed time to gel. No excuses next season though. And I still think the cups are achievable this season.

@bifana_bifana I don't see Arsenal winning every game from here on. But I don't see City winning all ours either. Not enough conviction to dominate games. We look scared to play. Not what we should be seeing from the team who has won so many leagues in the past decade.

That Newcastle winner involved greater speed and directness than anything City could muster tonight. Drop off back to slow deep sideways after going back in front was an invitation to Forest too. Meanwhile Arsenal grind on.

And now I’m here in a Chiswick pub and the lady on the right is hoping she’ll get served before the bloke with a beard. The bloke with the beard is easy to spot as he has orange hair.

@jamesdking76 Ah! I love those patches, the first division had them in the 90/91 and 91/92 seasons too. They are my favourite city shirts to collect.

@jackthesticks We had them on our 90-91 shirts but 91-93 were embroidered in. You could buy them from our club shop for £1 a pair in 91.

New arrival ! 88/89 Arthur Albiston Testimonial Shirt. The game was played in May 88 at Old Trafford. In like new condition, the shirt came via someone who worked for the games sponsor that day. If anyone has any photosof the match, or the teams that day please get in touch!
