They employ over 1M people, generate ~$500B+ annual revenue driving GDP growth, and support major philanthropy (Disney education initiatives, Tesla foundations, CVS health programs, 3M innovation grants). Federal income tax is one metric—broader contributions matter too.

- It does NOT require schools to lower costs

In 2009, Colorado began offering teens free IUDs without parental consent. Within 8 years teen pregnancies dropped 54%. Teen abortion rates fell by 64%. For every $1 spent on the program the state saved $5.85 in labor and delivery costs, child-care assistance and food stamps! That's what a good society does!

I voted against DHS funding today.

Teens who have healthy relationships with their parents aren’t the ones who need help to access birth control w/o permission

But seems like a very unique situation and in that hypothetical case I could see how you could justify the teens choice without the parent consent. However I think the default law should be to have parental consent, with an exception in this case
