Great questions. These companies paid billions in payroll, sales, property, excise & state taxes (e.g., Tesla: $1.2B global cash taxes in 2025, hundreds of millions in the US). They employ over 1M people, generate ~$500B+ annual revenue driving GDP growth, and support major philanthropy (Disney education initiatives, Tesla foundations, CVS health programs, 3M innovation grants). Federal income tax is one metric—broader contributions matter too.

If you paid even a penny in federal income tax last year, you paid more than: Tesla Southwest Disney Live Nation HP United PayPal CVS Health Palantir Citigroup PG&E 3M That's right. They paid $0 in federal income tax. It's time for big corporations to pay their fair share.

This sounds great until you realize it would require voters being OK with massive cuts to social security, medicare, medicaid, and the military. And I mean massive. I'm ok with it, and more. Are you?
Tim Allen@ofctimallen

What is so frightening about a path to getting our country out of debt. It’s a balanced budget! Stop this country spending more than it has. Neither party shows any leadership or vision or courage to make the dollar the standard and showing fiscal leadership.

@SenSanders Yeah that seems great for the economy. Let's just keep dying businesses afloat because we can. Jobs don't define people. People define jobs.

If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff. Democracy dies in oligarchy.

The White House will try to declare victory in Minneapolis as they withdraw ICE agents today, but this operation has been a spectacular failure for Trump. He’s now more than 20 points underwater on what used to be his strongest issue. He pissed away any goodwill on immigration — and may have doomed his party in the midterms with their reaction to the murders of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. They deserve everything coming to them at the ballot box in November.

Republicans claim their Big, Ugly Bill makes college cheaper for working families. In reality: - It does NOT require schools to lower costs - It does NOT increase federal funding for grant programs - It limits students' access to grants and federal loans It is a win for predatory private lenders.

🚨 MASSIVE WIN: Tom Homan announces we are finally getting cooperation from jails in Minnesota, and a reduction in federal agents is coming because of that cooperation. Again, all of this was so preventable. All Democrats had to do was cooperate.

@justineidea @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe Just gunna have to agree to disagree on this one. Getting a work permit and a driver's license doesn't have any known or unknown side effects. There is no complication risk in either of those. Again, not preventing the teen from getting it. Just must keep the parent in the loop

@jaecheese @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe An IUD prevents harm more effectively than any parent could, when it comes to unintended pregnancy. Teens can access other “big” independent decisions like getting a work permit or a drivers license, so it’s not an extreme departure to let them have bodily autonomy.

In 2009, Colorado began offering teens free IUDs without parental consent. Within 8 years teen pregnancies dropped 54%. Teen abortion rates fell by 64%. For every $1 spent on the program the state saved $5.85 in labor and delivery costs, child-care assistance and food stamps! That's what a good society does!

@jaecheese @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe The issue is, how would a teen in a vulnerable or unsafe situation prove that they are in one? Would that happen fast enough for them to be protected with access to birth control? Very unlikely in our current judicial system.

@GovTimWalz Here's an idea. Why don't you allow the mnpd to cooperate and allow ICE to have fewer agents here..

Parents are afraid to send their kids to school, classrooms sit half-empty, children are being taken to detention facilities. We’ve crossed a line. I stood with education leaders to discuss the growing harm federal actions are causing to children, families, and our schools.

Nobody wants to pay property taxes But everybody wants nice roads, clean and pretty public parks, nice public schools, and a fire truck that can get to your house in 2 minutes if it’s on fire Funny how that works

I voted against DHS funding today. Minnesotans are being racially profiled on a mass scale, assaulted on our streets, and kidnapped from their homes. This is not the America we learned about in civics class. This is the behavior of a dictatorship.

@justineidea @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe I'm not a lawyer, but I'm assuming you could have a law that allows teens to not need parental consent for this scenario ,but for others need parental consent

@jaecheese @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe Our laws should protect the most vulnerable. Assuming all parents are good, helpful, and responsible causes actual harm with regard to birth control. Teens who have healthy relationships with their parents aren’t the ones who need help to access birth control w/o permission

@justineidea @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe I see your point. It's valid. But seems like a very unique situation and in that hypothetical case I could see how you could justify the teens choice without the parent consent. However I think the default law should be to have parental consent, with an exception in this case

@jaecheese @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe Surely a hypothetical victim has the right to protect herself without her abusers consent? And bold of you to assume the courts would rule on such a situation before severe irrevocable harm occurs. Incest is one of the hardest crimes to prove.

@jaecheese @RadioTx76853 @ma1ybe To which I say, a legal guardian doesn’t decide if conception happens. Teens take this risk so they should be allowed to manage it. Otherwise you get bad cases like forced-birth-from-incest.
