Treat with Urgency: Guys, be careful out there… the streets are dangerous 😭💔
Here’s a new trick being reported: A woman targets you at a bar, offers you drinks, and even pays the bill. After that, she offers to drop you at her place.
Once you get to her gate, she invites you inside to at least have some water. But as soon as you enter, one or two of her friends come out of a room and lock the door behind you.
The three of them then take advantage of you and r@pe you. Afterwards, they give you 50k for transport—as if that money could erase the trauma or restore your dignity.
Please stay alert and protect yourselves, guys. Share with others..

Japa Burdens
Story of a young man in the UK.
My Girlfriend Paid for My Master’s Degree. £19k total. She’s Now Asking When I’ll Pay Her Back.”
I left Naija in 2023 thanks to my babe. I was earning ₦350k and she told me to resign and come for my master’s.
Of course my family couldn’t help pay and I was ready to abandon the whole thing but she covered the whole thing plus ticket, application everything.
She was earning well after her own masters, about £55k a year. She helped with my application and everything. Also paid my tuition of £14,500.”
When I came into UK, she helped me do my CV (she’s in recruitment) and ensured I got a good 20 hours job, and she helped me settle down.
We don’t live together as she is very religious and want us to do things the right way. But she normally helps with rent, food etc when I need it.
All in, she has spent about £19k on me.
She never once said it was a loan. She just continually said she believes in me and us.
I swear I cried the first time she transferred money to me. Nobody had ever believed in me like that.
Fast forward to about 20 months. I graduated. Again she helped tailor my CV well and I got a great role in an energy company.
We went out to celebrate, I was so excited that finally we could start building together with real money.
When we got back to her place, next day she asked me when do you think you can start paying me back? That I needed to pay back all she spent on me.
I know she is finicky but this lady had a whole spreadsheet. Dates. Amounts. laptop. The rent months. Everything single thing she tracked it.
Even things I forgot she paid for over the 2 years, every single thing was there.
But I never officially agreed to a loan. We never signed anything. Truthfully, I thought this was someone who was investing in our future.
Now every nice thing she has ever done for me feels like it has a price tag. She says I’m being ungrateful and we haven’t spoken properly in two weeks.
My family says I should do a payment plan with her and get another woman since she wants everything to be transactional.
But I love her… Her organisation and great planning is what brought me to this point in my life, but she doesn’t joke with her money and is so money conscious.
Is it possible to owe someone everything and still feel betrayed?
I am really battling with the emotions, not the money as I already created a payment plan and shared with her.
My view is that the lady is mean and he shouldn’t marry her.

"The man that sponsored my education" 😒
This gender too dey provoke me abeg!
English

So I got married last year to the man who sponsored my education. Have no kids yet though. Thanks to him, today I work as a government teacher in a secondary & high school. I actually just got recruited to this school where I teach Geography.
But please, I'm confused. There's this particular guy, actually a male colleague of mine. He has been working here as a Biology teacher for 6 years. Since I arrived & started work, he has been so nice to me, guiding & showing me around, buying me gifts too, and keeping me company so I don't feel alone since I'm new. We got so close after a month. I don't know, but I just really feel so comfortable & safe with him, even more than my husband. I love his company. If I'm to be honest, I feel like I can share & tell him everything.
Even my husband doesn't get me gifts like this guy does. He is such a kind & gentle man, i must comment, he truly knows how to treat a lady but something about his behavior, actually changed recently. Which leaves me confused. He switched from food gifts & started getting me underwear, bras, and perfumes. Even on 'Teachers Day' he bought me same gifts. This has actually been going on for about 2 weeks now. Please people, this keeps me wondering if it's okay that i keep collecting these gifts. Considering the fact that, I'm a married woman.
Truth is, we've been so close, and I don't know how to go about rejecting these gifts since he is actually doing it with pure intentions, with no strings attached, and he's been so nice to me ever since I got here. I plead for your advice & guidance 🙏

@faradayezeh1 So what's the solution? They shouldn't crave love?
English

@YoungRejoice1 Can you really be just friends with someone you once felt something for?

My brother’s fiancée’s father will be celebrating his 60th birthday next month. The man is a chief, and his fiancée is the firstborn in her family.
Now, the family asked the lady to bring a cow, buy two different clothes for her father, and pay for the event hall to be used. Altogether, everything amounts to ₦4.5 million.
The problem is that the lady is still looking for a job, while my brother is a banker. However, the family told her that my brother should step into the role of the son-in-law and handle the expenses.
My brother called off the relationship yesterday. He said he is no longer interested.
Is my brother a bad guy?

As someone who’s been in UK for about 3yrs, these are my reality check (most base on personal experience).
My top 15.
1. You cannot survive abroad if you’re lazy, especially if you’re alone.
2. If you don’t keep to time, you’re going to have problems, 1min late can cost you a lot.
3. You might actually stop praying for some worldly luxury if you live abroad, because they’re not so hard to get. I’m talking about owing cars and the likes.
4. Every successful people I’ve seen in UK (men and women) are people in happy marriage.
5. If you cannot ask for help, you’re likely going to suffer.
6. It’s easier to secure work that doesn’t care about academic certificates than the ones that cares about academic certificates.
7. You are better abroad as a married person than being single.
8. You will meet celebrities in random places and no one really cares about them. I think the only celebrities people really give so much relevance to in the UK are active footballers.
9. Your colleague at work are not your friends.
10. Oyinbo laughing at you is not genuine, do not mistake their shining of teeth for likeness.
11. If you meet Oyinbo girl that you desire sexual or romantic relationship with, ask for their ID, everyone in UK have at least one ID that shows their age, do not believe whatever she calls her age for you (especially if you meet them in night club or any social gathering that is open to everyone).
12. Nobody is too busy abroad not to talk to people back in home country, except they’re in prison.
13. If your naija girlfriend japa before you and there is no plan for you to go and join her soon, she’s likely going to break up with you sooner.
14. There is a community in London, that is you take pictures there and post, you can tell anyone who doesn’t know you personally that you’re in Lagos and they’ll believe you, because almost everything you’ll see in Lagos is there.
15. If you’re a professional(doctor, nurse, engineer and the likes) japa, you’ll make money abroad.

@he_is_dreyy Omo!
Thank God for your life
Someone like me wouldn't have gotten over that so easily. I'd probably blame myself self for the rest of my life.
English

This happened when I was in 200lvl second semester. I came back from class one day and I saw my neighbors preparing beans in a big pot and they were also smoking. I was hungry so I told them I was going to eat with them when they are done. They later called me that thd food was ready n I should come n eat but they also warned it contained weed. 😮💨
I've never smoked or taken any food containing weed before in my life but school hunger wanted to finish me. That was how I joined them and we ate the food. At first nothing happened but later that night I started feeling uncomfortable and I couldn't sleep. I was all alone in my room at night n there was no one I could call or talk to. I forced my self to sleep despite the pain. 😫
When I woke up very early in the morning it had reduced so I got up n prepared for class. On my way to class, close to my school gate I fainted n when I opened my eyes I saw myself in the hospital with some strange faces looking at me. They called my mom n she was already her way when I started to feel serious pain again in my stomach. I couldn't bear the pain that they had to give me sleeping pills. That was the last thing till after 4 months.
I was in coma for four good months and I didn't see my mom's face. Sometimes I imagine what would have been going through her mind all that time💔. Long story short, I missed that semester's exams and I had to do extra year. It wasn't easy but I'm just grateful for life and for strength. And God bless my mom for keeping faith in me that I'll survive.
