So glad that James Hendler (@JAHendler) is describing the power of #OpenData plus proper #Metadata and provenance. #DataBrokers. Crossing disciplines is made difficult by #DataSilos.

The first two editions described the Semantic Web standards, how they work, and what their goals are. This third edition builds on this foundation to bring Semantic Web practice to enterprise. bit.ly/2DHSd7G

📣 Proudly announce that we have two #EMNLP2023 papers accepted! Another strong evidence to show that #HCI and #NLP researchers CAN and SHOULD work hand in hand to advance the #HumanCenteredAI research agenda.
🎉Congratulations to the great interdisciplinary and multi-institution collaboration!

@JewWhoHasItAll Pesach - we use an egg on the Seder plate, bunnies clearly were some of the beasts that ravaged the Egyptian crops during the plaques, Sunday is one of the nights where we cannot have a 1st night Seder, and Long Island is where a whole lot of seders occur

Did anyone figure out the category for these last four? They’re all I have left and I still can’t see what they have in common.

@shabboshouse @albanymuskrat @WAMCRadio Yes, that is my point. We can, and should, all do what we can… And finding and building community - like @shabboshouse does - can help form groups that do make changes, large or small, that can help eventually make things better (b”H)
English

@albanymuskrat @jahendler @WAMCRadio Not sure thats what Jim Hendler meant. He is celebrating the (individual and) cumulative value of individual and ordinary people's good works, even the small ones. It adds up and makes a huge difference. At least thats what I took from it.
English

Heard @jahendler say today on @WAMCRadio: "We need lots more people doing lots more little (positive) things." Indeed, think global, act local. We need lots more micro-goodness and anyone can & should do the micro stuff.
English

@albanymuskrat @shabboshouse @WAMCRadio Saying everybody can do small things, is not the same as saying no one can do big things…..
