I am green though so that could be the carpenter not the hammer. I’m just looking for fewer “You’re absolutely right!”s

I don't use a personal claude.md for everything, I just have a template and copy then tweak for each project. Some people have multiple in an individual project but I'm always paranoid about overloading the context. Some people say they get good results with multiple files though. I experience the same thing re: compromising tests even with this directive. I sometimes add 'And don't forget about our TDD deal bro!' with new prompts 😆 What I've also found is that the more stressed or impatient I sound in a prompt, the more likely it is to ignore the claude.md guide and just do whatever it takes to 'fix'. No idea what the optimal solution is for high variance alien intelligence like this, I guess we have to accept a few instances of going rogue in exchange for those times when it's being unfathomably awesome.

@Automager @pedro_codes1 @pli_cachete Are you posting your TDD directives in your root Claude.md or in additional ones in each directory? I am constantly catching it getting lazy and compromising tests so it can pat itself on the back and give me a hollow ✅

@pedro_codes1 Here's an excerpt from one of my claude.md files. My no.1 fear is Claude going rogue and reward hacking to cheat/hide problems, which is why I add the extras re: reminding it it's not a human employee and we have all the time in the world, I don't want it simulating a sneaky human doing whatever it takes to 'make the tests pass'. Still not foolproof but for me watching it iterate with that continual feedback loop from tests is the best example of competent long-running agentic AI I've seen yet.

@dumdumrum86 @NextRoundLive That’s a gross oversimplification. Rim attempts aren’t the only sequences generating FTs. They just do so at the highest rate. Alabama has a full 180 more possessions. More fouls in other areas of the offensive zone and more non-shooting fouls when in the Bonus.
