@MichaelG_3D I got my job at Bithell Games after messaging the director on twitter to ask if they offer internships. They didn't, but they liked my work and made an exception for me. Shooting your shot never hurts

@jakebenbow @LiamTart Correct - if you just have rocks blending into a 2D landscape that'll be the issue you run into. But worse, if you have i.e. caves, you won't be able to blend things inside those because the RVT is capturing the surface, not the cave. This solution JustWorks in those contexts.

We're using this plugin on Subnautica 2 and it has completely changed the way we approach environment art. Seamlessly blending meshes together is a game changer.

@Mr4Goosey @LiamTart Yeah the smearing on vertical faces is a limitation of the top-down projection, right?

@jakebenbow @LiamTart A lot of the time you'll end up with a fairly similar visual using RVTs, but it'll often be at a much higher development cost because RVTs are honestly just hard to use right, their performance characteristics are also harder to work with, and the top-down limitation is *rough*.
