Growing old is a privilege denied to many so I’m grateful to turn 56 today 🎂 and I’m thankful for the family and friends who made my day so special.

Today we’ve had a Laura shaped hole in our lives for 5 months.
Gracie started painting a piece of cardboard, she didn’t initially intend for it to be about Laura. It isn’t finished yet but every element of it makes me cry.
She’s so talented but it’s heartbreaking.

@shitscaredmum My son Jake treated for migraines from 23/10/12 numerous visits to the GP over a period of 4 weeks with no scan! he went on holiday to Thailand with his older brother had a seizure was rushed to hospital & found to have a #GBM they operated but he passed away 24/12/12 💔

Just utterly heartbreaking, 3 short weeks from diagnosis, it’s unimaginable & so frustrating that precious time was wasted with misdiagnosis.

I'm heartbroken to share the news that we lost our beautiful Laura in the early hours of this morning.
She was fierce & tenacious to the end & it was truly the honour of my life to be her mum.
We are devastated at the thought of life without our girl, she was a force of nature💔

Another tough day which started with a seizure. There’s a bit less of Laura every day & it’s almost impossible to bear.
I’m so thankful not to be doing this alone @MarkNuttall12 has been brilliant, he sleeps on the sofa next to Laura’s hospital bad & does all the heavy lifting

Bit gutted tonight.
Laura’s at serious risk of an infection (which she needs like the hole she already has in her head!)
This means at least 2 weeks of IV antibiotics for which she’ll need to stay at #SalfordRoyal
Hoped to bring her home soon but it’s imperative she heals now

Laura’s out of surgery (& so is Beryl). She’s in a lot of pain & I think tonight might be an uncomfortable one but the surgeon has successfully fitted 2 ommaya reservoirs & the initial NDV has been administered.
