@deepinthebuild Fascinating! Didn't consider that an option. I've had some recent times where I woke up earlier and easier than usual after taking melatonin the night before, I should pay attention to that as a potential effect!

@jam1garner The way I've always described it is that the melatonin is there to help me wake up, not to get to sleep. There's maybe a small effect of making me feel sleepy but the bigger impact is consistently feeling like I'm done sleeping around 9am and naturally wanting to get out of bed.

@deepinthebuild Very cool visualization! Also thanks for sharing all this. If I may ask, at that dosage/timing for melatonin how does it "feel", is it more of an quick but slight tired that builds until your target sleep time? is there no immediate (ignoring the time to kick in) effect? etc

@mirrinigma @goblinodds The app I used and thought was by far the best for this is dead now due to the authors not wanting to do the work for GDPR compliance so a bit more work for me to generate visualizations now, but here's a plot I had lying around on my desktop. I think it's from 2016?

Without any external assets and dependencies that need to be shipped with the application on Windows, it's actually more like 60MB. 50MB when removing everything that's not strictly necessary for ImHex to work

After adding compression to our custom asset packing and some minor build improvements, the Windows version of ImHex is now over 60% smaller :)

@HSVSphere @GrantSlatton I'd consider trivial enumerability to be a vulnerability for this in addition to the other issues with such an implementation people have mentioned

but what is hard about tinyurl, it's just a url shortener? store a number in an eventually consistent database cluster and increment it for every link with conflicts getting ignored, and combine it with a short random number, if you want huge load being handled at least that's how I'd do it

"design tinyurl" is still unparalleled as a systems design question despite being the most popular for all these years you simply can't fake it, there's too many rabbit-holes if you just memorize the answer, you'll always trip up and get caught by a good interviewer

@PwnFunction Well if that wasn't good enough the only option I'd say you should look at is the Rust imgui bindings. Past that I don't think there's any options that match what you're looking for

@jam1garner Not yet. We'll have some info in the stable announcement hopefully next week and a more detailed blog post in the weeks following. But if you have a license you can try it on dev now and both examples using the new APIs are open source.

Random thought -- academic research in decompilation technology often assumes that correctness is the highest goal of decompilation. I'd actually argue it's not always. There are other priorities that are often just as important!

@psifertex is there more information about this anywhere? I honestly would consider using this for C reversing, if only because I find the syntax easier to follow for some things (I vaguely remember this being a goal of BNIL but targeting a language I already know helps)
