When Elon Musk purchased X, it was presented to everyone as a place where independent journalists and creators could come and exercise free speech. Given my personal experiences with censorship since 2020 I was skeptical but hopeful that we would see a change for the better. As time is passing by, it’s becoming abundantly clear that X is moving in the same direction that all social media platforms go. They want to control the conversation, penalize free thinkers, and only allow establishment figures with main stream views and con inc. backing to thrive and direct the political narratives. This app is heading in the direction of being Fox News online since traditional television is a thing of the past. The play has never been more obvious. During the lockdowns I was creating 3 videos a day for over 3 years. When you’re constantly getting beat down by circumstances you can’t control because these social media companies gaslight and throttle you, you start to feel burned out. If they shut us out we will find somewhere else to go but it would be foolish to keep dedicating so much time to a platform that doesn’t value their creators. Every time you drive attention to this site they are profiting off of you. They think you’re too stupid to catch on. They get rich off of you while you remain a peasant complaining about your crumbs.
