Shout out @1stwave Been listening to #siriusxm #1stwave for about 6yrs now. At times it could sound like a stream of early 80's greatest hits, but lately, they've really been doing a great job of playing deep cuts and 80's #newwave songs you wish you hadn't forgotten. Thank you!

@MarketPalmer_ I thought you were gonna be convinced by the end, but then you just hardened your stupid POV that daycare is preferable. LOL. What a dummy.

ME: Daycare is expensive, but worth it. THEM: Why would you pay to have someone else raise your kids? ME: They're not raising my kids, they're taking care of them while we work. THEM: One of you should quit your job so you aren't handing your kids off to strangers each day. ME: They're not strangers, they're professionals. And we'd have even less money if one of us stayed at home with the kids. THEM: It shouldn't be about money, it should be about bonding with your kids. ME: Kids need bonding with more than just their parents. Their daycare teachers and other kids at daycare are some of their best friends, and they're excited to go each day. THEM: You're letting them get indoctrinated by today's education system and propaganda. ME: They're literally learning colors, the ABCs, and how to count to 10. THEM: Some parents just don't want to be parents! ME: *stops arguing with a wall*

@SethLeon234922 @CoachFrese I think you're right in general. That change should happen. However, it must commence at the beginning of a season. No mid-game changes. No mid-season adjustment.

@CoachFrese 100% Also the future of the WNBA will live or die on this issue. Officiating must allow more freedom of movement and protect it's players from injury due to constant hacking. Should be issue #1 for WBB.

Fans of WBB are missing the elite skill sets of some of our biggest stars b/c of the way we are allowing physicality to be the norm.

@CoachFrese Are y’all kidding with this BS? UConn is one of the most physical, bullying style teams in the league. Just ask Notre Dame or any of their other opponents. South Carolina did to UConn what UConn normally does to other teams and now y’all are in your feelings.

@CoachFrese News flash bb has been a contact sport since beginning of bb. News flash being physical us legal all contact isnt a foul i know that hurt your narrative and also you dont want Cc to be touch but REAL SKILL play through contact. Thats what seperates players snd champions.

@game7__ The pattern is: winning. Maybe SC played a bit more like the WNBA, but there were not tons of missed calls. SC just played better than UConn. No need for a rant cuz there's always next year

Sports fans rarely agree on anything in 2026. But everyone seems in agreement right now. South Carolina fans. UConn fans. Everyone. Geno Auriemma was right. And Dawn Staley has always had a terrible attitude - tonight was no exception. She should apologize and try to do better going forward, because this is getting embarrassing. South Carolina shot 22 free throws tonight. UConn shot 6. Twenty-two to six. In a Final Four game. Between the two best teams in the country. All six fouls in the third quarter were called on UConn. Sarah Strong, the AP Player of the Year, had her jersey ripped on a play with no call. Before the fourth quarter, Geno went on ESPN and said what everyone watching at home was thinking: "They've been beating the s**t out of our guys down there the entire game." He pointed at Staley's sideline and called her out for ranting at the officials all night while her team got away with everything. Then the game ended. South Carolina 62, UConn 48. And Geno walked over to shake Staley's hand, said something that wasn't friendly, and had to be physically pulled away. Was it the right moment? Probably not. But after watching his team get grabbed, held, and shoved for 40 minutes while the whistle only blew one way, the man had earned his frustration. And Staley's response was even more telling. "I have no idea," she said on ESPN after the game. "But I'mma let you know this, I'm of integrity. I'm of integrity. So if I did something wrong to Geno, I had no idea what I did." She then guessed that Geno was upset because he thought she didn't shake his hand before the game. ESPN pulled up the video. She did shake his hand before the game. So her explanation didn't even make sense. The full breakdown of what happened, the foul discrepancy, and why Geno had every right to be upset is here: itsgame7.com/news/dawn-stal… Here's what nobody wants to say out loud: Staley has a pattern. Last April, in the 2025 national championship, UConn blew South Carolina out 82-59. Staley was on the sideline screaming profanities and slapping herself on the forehead. Social media tore her apart. Afterward, she was gracious about it and said UConn "beat our ass." Credit for that. But the sideline theatrics, the working of officials, the ranting and raving, and then the "I have no idea what you're talking about" act after the game? That's a routine at this point. Geno Auriemma has 12 national championships. More wins than any coach in college basketball history. He's been doing this for over 40 years. He didn't blow up on national television because he's a sore loser. He blew up because he watched a 22-6 free throw disparity unfold in real time in the biggest game of the season. South Carolina played great defense tonight. Nobody is taking that away from them. Ta'Niya Latson had 16 and 11. Agot Makeer added 14 off the bench. Joyce Edwards and Raven Johnson made life miserable for Strong and Fudd, who combined to shoot 7-of-31. The Gamecocks earned the win. But the officiating wasn't earned. And Geno was the only person in that building willing to say it out loud. Staley can say "I'm of integrity" as many times as she wants. The free throw line told a different story.

Nobody who has been in a gym would even say the average man should bench 225. The average man in the gym doesn’t even do that

@shahartley @CassieOpieUh @kenswift Odyssey definitely played well last season. I won't even weigh in on whether she is better than Sophie because they play different positions and are asked to do different things for the Fever. The one similarity is that they are not starters but do play a lot of minutes.

Good morning Today is the expansion draft While getting two new teams online is exciting, it unfortunately means we will lose two Fever Girls, which sucks My final prediction is that those two will be Chloe Bibby Kristy Wallace Outside chance it will be KK Timpson Outside outside chance it will be Sophie Whoever it is, this sucks But just like Temi last year Regardless of the uniform they wear this year They will always be Fever Girls

In the 1990s we experienced: Peak Michael Jordan. The rise of Tiger Woods. Gas at 99 cents a gallon. The golden age of Hip-Hop. The rise of The Rock & Steve Austin. The rise of Venus and Serena Williams. A streak of classic Disney animated films. Sitcoms: Seinfeld, Friends, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Star Trek: "The Next Generation" and "Deep Space 9" Peak SNES, and the arrival of Sony's first PlayStation. Marvel Comics sold hundreds of thousands of books a month. DC Comics' "The Death of Superman" became national news. Rise of young comics including Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock. Elite work from established Hollywood stars, breakouts of new stars and filmmakers, classic blockbuster films (and late night TV hosts who promoted the business instead of lecturing audiences). Nostalgia for the 1990s is strong because excellence across multiple arenas in pop culture was obvious and undeniable, and this excellence enhanced our quality of life. Fame had to be earned, we could enjoy things together, and algorithms had yet to atomize and divide us. It was an amazing time to be alive.

@NoelG818181 @DukeOfZamunda The post & thread are mainly centered around a 1-rep set of 225 lb, witch includes a 45 lb barbell (the most common plate combination is four 45 lb plates on the bar). Good luck. Warm up. Stay safe. Report back.

@DukeOfZamunda I’m 64 and don’t lift heavy because of other sports I participate in but I’m confident that would not be a problem and I’ll actually try it tomorrow, so how many reps must I be able to do and is the Olympic bar part of the weight?

@outlawtorn_eth @DukeOfZamunda I understand your point completely, but I guarantee you that your one rep Max isn't 225. It might be one day, but 135x10 creates different kind of muscle strength than handling 225. I'm not even saying the 225 is a fabulously high amount of weight. Keep at it!

@DukeOfZamunda Again I have to ask — what do we mean by bench? 1 rep? 5 reps? 3x10? This whole conversation is meaningless without that info. It took me 6 months to work up from 95 to 135 for a 3x10. I honestly have no idea what I could do for 1 rep, I’ve never tried.
