The longer I am alive the more I realize happiness is an extremely dumb concept because if you have it, it is fleeting (like creativity) and you can't grasp it for long I guess the definition of happiness in our language is the problem too, and everyone trying to get something so fleeting and ungraspable is the other problem I agree that purpose/meaning is much better to aim for because that's systemic and becomes part of your daily routine And ironically that gives you happiness People looking for happiness are usually unhappy!

Think of it in the way with someone like me with ADHD. You have to be “on” 24/7 with children and only on 8/5 with work. My mind and body want the least stress and conflict by default. Now Imagine a mother having the same condition, because there’s a lot, not making excuses. But, it’s understandable and can be worked through by doing difficult tasks early so the rest of the day runs smoother, but if you don’t you’ll see a lot of very unhappy unmovable people frustrated at doing minute tasks. Like raising a child properly, or going to work every day.

The uncomfortable truth women won’t say out loud: working outside the home, is easier than submitting to marriage.
I’ve spoken to enough couples to see the pattern, men allow outside jobs not from weakness, but because unchecked spending and control issues would bankrupt the home.
Working a 9-5 allows women to say,
“I make my own money, don’t tell me what to do.”
This isn’t about the economy or men failing as providers.
It’s about rejecting authority, accountability, and not wanting the obligations of wife and mother and that rejection bleeds into sex which is why sex eventually dies

@SordidaHenricus @SkyNews Maybe because of all the restrictions in place use you’re critical thinking skills if you have any. Reducing restrictions and easing travel will mean many more will go there and it will become closer to Japan levels
