@jamesreadwrites Further to your initial message, is the income from the country of origin going to be taxed by the country's tax authorities in question? Tom

@HMRCcustomers OK, so if it is self-employed income and no tax has been deducted, does it just go in with all other self-employed income and doesn't need to be declared separately?

@jamesreadwrites tax credit relief. If it is income under PAYE you must include it on an employment page and any foreign tax on the foreign page. You may wish to call us to discuss in more detail. Suchona 2/2

@HMRCcustomers Hi, do you have any more information please? It seems like this would be the most common scenario for overseas income.

@HMRCcustomers Thanks. Is that the correct category for 'normal' income (i.e. income from work, rather than from savings, pensions and anything else)? And then which box should I put the income in on the following page? The one that says "If you've received a benefit from a person abroad"?

@jamesreadwrites Hi thanks for waiting. If there is no category this would go under any other overseas income and gains. Suchona

@HMRCcustomers any thoughts? I can't reach you by phone (after 10 minutes of apparently unnecessary menu diving the line is deemed too busy and the call ended)

@HMRCcustomers Where do I input foreign income when filling out my tax return? It isn't from dividends, savings or any of the other options I'm given on the Foreign income details page, and I haven't yet paid tax on it overseas. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to add it.

My book's just been indexed on @eatyourbooks - if you don't already use it, it's a great website that lets you search all the recipes in your cookbooks (e.g. for sauerkraut, to remind yourself you could be making pierogi with it) #detail-tabs-recipes" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">eatyourbooks.com/library/232211…

@jamesreadwrites @BookishJulia @everygoodthing9 @megmuck My great tepache incident is still remembered with much hilarity - a good lesson in not underestimating the power of fermentation and in not forgetting to release the bottle caps on your tepache regularly unless you want to do a fridge deep clean and then redecorate your kitchen!

@Aquamaz Great thought - that does look very possible! Having finished the series now it isn't ever addressed so I'm all the more curious.

So, the pattern of the office cubicle walls in Ludwig is definitely a code, right? Rosicrucian cipher? (if this is revealed in a later episode just pretend I've been v smart pls)
