@swimswim48 But I would argue- dressel has proven his pedigree at the 100 fly.
So if he wants to swim the 50 cool
I feel the same about Peaty and Sjostrom
English

Me clowning on the 50s stroke at every opportunity until Caeleb Dressel steps up to swim the 50 fly
cel@triplefaults
i fear that rule #1 of being a sports fan is being biased and hypocritical

@swimswim48 All UVA options

@Section344Lions I think Kevin coming up and being a all around BA / OBP guy and baserunner has lifted some of the pressure from Greene and Tork
He’s the guy, and that plus Ding finding his stroke means now they can be the 2nd-3nd-4th guys on the offense and it’s not a “disappointment”
English

Back-to-back All Star. 25 years old. Hitting 300 with an 860 OPS.
We’ve wasted an extraordinary amount of time & angst in this town on Riley Greene.
But but but but the strikeouts.
He’s not Barry Bonds or Aaron Judge, but holy hell there’s always this overbearing indictment or belief that he’s a stat padder or some bum.
It’s OK to admit he’s a very good baseball player.

English

@swimswim48 The wildcards out there are Berkhoff, Bacon in the backstrokes and the 2IM
Anna Pep in. The 200
And then anyone who breaks out in the next two years
English

@swimswim48 Open spots are
Second spot 8/15 free
Second spot 2 fly
Second spot 100 Br
Both 400 IM spots
Maybe grimes finds form and takes those, and a lot can happen in two years, but it feels like there are lots of knowns
English

@Predamame Max Thomas and PJ Austin, or as we call them
The USATF 12km Road Championships of 4x1 legs
English

A lot of fans were saying "who are these people?"
Well, time to start learning because they won!
CITIUS MAG@CitiusMag
GOLD FOR AMERICA! 37.43! 🇺🇸 🥇 Team USA’s Ronnie Baker, Max Thomas, Lance Lang & PJ Austin clock the fastest time in the world this year to take GOLD in the 4x100m at the World Relays in Botswana. #WorldRelays
English

@Predamame 4 seconds into my teams 4x8, where we all broke 2:00
English

Botswana tried to mog Australia and fumbled the handoff.
Travis Miller@travismillerx13
That 4x400m exchange 😬
English

@The_Rad_Dawg @Kerrcybertruck Having the ability to run 3:45 doesn’t guarantee the OLY team bc of the nature of the 1500. (Nuguse mussed the world team last year)
Both are probably very likely to make the team, Marathon probably a much more favorable chance to make the team
95% vs maybe 80%
English

@Kerrcybertruck You would most certainly make the Olympic team and also the Olympic finals as a 3:45 miler. Only two Americans (Yared Nuguse and Cole Hocker) have *EVER, IN HISTORY* run that fast.

English

You’re making more money running a 2:02 marathon in appearance fees and prize money, not to mention I’d be the best American marathoner ever
3:45 mile would be more fun, but I probably couldn’t even make the men’s Olympic team with that
Jason Fitzgerald@JasonFitz1
Ok fellas, if you could run a 3:45 mile or a 2:02 marathon, which would you choose? Why?
English

@Castellani2014 There is strategic value in an early season series at Great American ballpark to get the numbers rolling a little too
English

They're calling him 800 Meters Brown, folks.
Jonathan Gault@jgault13
1:43.84 by Michigan's Miles Brown has to be one of the fastest 800 splits ever at the Penn Relays DMR.
English

@zbitter Now i'm regretting the "I am John Korir" tattoo I just got on my arm.
English

@Predamame The 1.6 championship and the Mile championship are distinct events
English

@Castellani2014 For as much as Hinch likes to lineup tinker… Torres and McGonigle are the first two batters here on out.
Maybe an argument to lock Ding into the 3rd spot but you probably need him between Carp and Greene
English

@Castellani2014 Single up the middle. Advance on a WP, take off the double play. Advance to third on a ground out where they had no play on you, and then use your speed to score on a shallow fly bc CF gunned it and it was offline
Good ball player
English

@Predamame He returns on Sunday, because after Friday and Saturday it would have been a 3rd whereabouts failure
