It's Sad! ZRP ethics have gone so rogue. This morning, at the Corner of Lytton Road and Douglas road in Rugare, ZRP officers were waving down vehicles driven by people on their way to work. They were issuing fines with a minimum charge per car which meant each driver was being forced to pay up US$60 cash and to make matters worse, no card payments were allowed. Ukada kutaurisa uri kunzi toenda newe. All the officers from Mbare Police station.
In my case, I managed to negotiate it to US$30 and I was being charged for not having set of warning triangles. I first went to the office because it was only 5 minutes away. I needed to report for work and borrow some cash from a colleague.
However, I noticed that every motorist was being charged for at least two violations, including faulty brake lights, missing warning triangles, and using a phone while driving (even when it was resting on their legs).
The officers I recall were Jangara (a male officer) and Gwatidzo (a female officer). The female officer was the one flagging down vehicles while holding a book, and she would then direct the male officer to attend to each vehicle. There were more than 15 cars at the scene. I wish I had taken a picture of that intersection.
@PoliceZimbabwe
If zimra roadblock stops u nd say the duty paid for yo car is below the expected required amount...dnt let them impound yo vehicle b4 thy bring into questioning nd prosecution of the zimra official who calculated nd processed the duty.
🗣️ Cafu: “I am afraid, the more we have Brazilians moving to the Premier League, the fewer chances for Brazil to win the World Cup.
Imagine being brainwashed by the media every week that you are the best in the world, meanwhile, you are not near the best.
I prefer La Liga because they have a high mentality to reach finals and win them. In La Liga, they don't have a mouth in front of TV cameras telling lies about Spanish players or hyping them to the world.
They speak football there, not myth.”

@Savheya_Happie I short, there is a gap in law. Tap & Go , Bolt and Indrive are Ehailing transport mechanisms which doesn't require special parking bays, they don't require any branding ( with the exception of T&Go) as they can be identified by the user thru the App. This result in increased

HALLO FRIDAY…🙏🙏🙏
Today I woke up in a good mood and remembering a TRUE HERO, who lives amongst us. A man whose COURAGE and bravery showed the goodness of humanity. This man is none other than SIRIZANI BUTAU 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
In 2021, SIRIZANI fearlessly RISKED his OWN LIFE to save others from a deadly inferno along the Harare - Mutare highway following a TRAGIC accident involving a fuel tanker carrying over 50,000 litres of petrol. The accident ignited MASSIVE flames and the real threat of an EXPLOSION. Sarizini did not run away like most of us would. Instead, he ran TOWARDS the fire 🔥 and pulled out trapped passengers from the burning wreckage, risking his own life so that others could LIVE.
This man emerged with SEVERE burns and permanent scars, but his heroism SAVED LIVES.
We remain GRATEFUL to His Excellency, the President Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa and Amai, for giving SPECIAL NATIONAL RECOGNITION to this extraordinary man by awarding him the Gold Cross of Zimbabwe Award, honouring SIRIZANI’s unmatched BRAVERY. Surely, TRUE HEROES are not born in comfort but are forged in FIRE 🔥 .
As a small token of my appreciation for your unprecedented HEROIC sacrifice and in addition to the highest honour bestowed upon you by His Excellency, I want to PERSONALLY CELEBRATE YOU in your lifetime. Please go and see Madzibaba Chipaga at Enterprise Car sales on Monday and collect a brand spanking new TOYOTA FORTUNER 2.4d D4D . In addition, you will receive USD 50,000 IN CASH 💵 to invest in any business of your choice. You may even consider starting your own trucking business as you have indeed PROVEN YOURSELF to be man of steel and COURAGE.
May GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY for your sacrifice. Your scars are MEDALS OF HONOUR tattooed on your skin and are a permanent reminder that LOVE STILL LIVES AMONG US.
Chidzidziso kwatiri tese, to love one another and to always act with COMPASSION as we are all children of GOD 🙏

@Blackraven69594@freddyMM93 So fa ndiwe wataura chokwadi ...the economy is now informal thus making life difficult for formal traders. Even our mindset, as consumers is now "informal"
@freddyMM93 The Informal Economy is winning on Price & Convenience: In Zim, the rise of informal shops ("tuck shops") offering lower prices and more accessible options is a huge factor. They bypass taxes and regulations, making it tough for formal retailers in malls to compete.
Would anyone know why the traditional malls like Westgate, High glen & Town Center (Chitungwiza) are being deserted despite being far much better in appearance than the newly built ones in and around Harare?
