heading to Florida next week and bringing my setup if you're a brand that needs beach/coastal/summer aesthetic content, I've got open slots can knock out: • lifestyle B-roll (beach, palm trees, sunset shots) • product demos in natural lighting • "vacation mode" style UGC • any Florida-specific angles you need this is the part of UGC nobody talks about enough two years ago I was stuck in a 9-5 in the medical field, same desk, same routine, zero flexibility now I'm flying to Florida, filming content on the beach, and getting paid to create while I'm there the work comes with me I'm not "taking time off and losing income" - I'm just changing the backdrop if you need coastal content filmed this month, DM me rates are the same, turnaround is the same, quality is the same just with better lighting and an ocean view this is what I was grinding for when I locked myself in that room for months after work the freedom to work from anywhere and not have to choose between income and living life if you're still on the fence about going full-time with UGC, this is what's on the other side 📧 Contact@jamesugc.com 💼 jamestheugcguy.com/ugc

X Post (@jamestheugcguy) Shot this St. Patrick's Day content due to the brand wanting something for the holiday last minute. no physical samples needed. just me, a script, and some screen grabs. turned it around in a day. if your brand needs short form content like this hit my DMs. I keep it simple and I keep it fast.

Creative is the new moat. and most DTC brands still don't get it you can have the best media buyer in the world, a dialed-in landing page, and a killer offer but if your creative sucks, none of it matters here's what's happening: 2019-2021: you could out-target and out-bid competitors detailed targeting, interest stacking, lookalikes that actually worked 2022-2024: targeting died, so everyone said "it's all about the offer now" 2025: the brands winning aren't out-targeting or out-offering anyone they're out-creating everyone here's why: your competitor can copy your offer in 48 hours they can hire the same media buyer you have they can swipe your landing page structure but if you're producing 40 new ads per month and they're producing 5, you win because: • you avoid ad fatigue faster • you test more angles • you find more winners • you scale without ROAS collapse the math brands don't want to hear: if you're spending $100K/month on ads but only testing 10 creatives, you're handicapped your media buyer is playing poker with 3 cards while your competitor has a full deck what changed: the brands I work with that scale from $50K → $200K/month don't have better products they have creative systems that produce 30-50 NEW ads every single month different formats, different angles, different hooks the bottleneck isn't your ad spend budget it's your creative production capacity if you can't increase spend without tanking ROAS, you don't need a better media buyer you need 10x more winning ads in rotation creative volume is the new competitive advantage

just lost a $800 gig because I was too confident in the pitch brand reached out, asked for my process, and I went full strategist mode sent them a page breakdown of the exact angles I'd test, the objection-handling framework, awareness level targeting, the whole thing thought I crushed it they ghosted me and hired someone else found out later they went with a creator who just said "yeah I can do that, here's my rate and turnaround time" I was out here trying to prove I'm the smartest person in the room meanwhile they just wanted someone who could film a video and not overthink it lesson I learned the hard way: not every brand wants a creative strategist some brands just need a reliable person with a camera who delivers on time I was solving for a problem they didn't have now when a brand reaches out, I gauge what they actually need first if they're asking about "authentic content" and "quick turnaround" - they want simple and fast if they're asking about "testing angles" and "ad performance" - then I go strategist mode biggest mistake creators make isn't being under-qualified it's over-complicating what the brand actually wants

The first week of the Motion Bootcamp was so good🙌 Like honestly didn’t expect it to be this good Now I look at HOOKS in a very different and clear way Hooks are more likely to be winners when they have three layers. Visual Audio + Textual Psychological If you nail those three and talk to an specific persona, THERE IS NO WAY you don’t have a good thumstop rate 😀

Anothaaaa Ugc example 😉 SO this brand really wanted to focus on the problem rather than showing off the product ingredients. The intention is to sell the problem so the solution is clear.

@LivPalmUGC I’m sure it’s happen to us all, but by deriving a lesson from the L and paying attention how to pitch/close you will prevent it from happening next time!

@loristephensfab Haha love the positive attitude, it’s definitely a painful lesson. But the best education is in failures the faster you go thru them and learn, the better!

@JamestheUGCguy This is absolutely great advice! Some of the best. I’ve lost deals for the same thing and have to learn the hard way. It’s all good. I get what I need when I need it-at least that’s how I see it, lol!

@naturallyshannn @CoriActually Absolutely! Glad you found it helpful and I’m definitely paying attention to their language and trying to figure out what it is the brand/client needs most and focusing on the problem at hand. I’m happy so many people are finding value from this L haha

@JamestheUGCguy @CoriActually This perspective is so helpful and so true! I sometimes think I scare brands off by coming off too strong with the creative strategy approach. Definitely will be paying more attention to their language and what they’re asking for in the initial email! Thank you for sharing

@JamestheUGCguy Props for recognizing this most people wouldn’t, definitely keep the responses short and sweet and if they ask for test concepts just give them short but sweet things you think would convert

@closermethod I know we all like to hide from L’s but some of the best learnings are there! And perspective wise you nailed it I think being able to gauge your client/brand quickly and adapting to fit their needs is such a valuable skill.

@JamestheUGCguy brands in planning mode want the strategy. the ones who can tell the difference in the first two messages, close dramatically more than the ones who lead the same way every time.

@tirzaongaimei Appreciate the positive energy! I see what you’re saying and I know that definitely happens from personal experience. I think observing the language they use from the jump can help you determine what they are looking for.

Thanks for sharing this, James. I see it a bit differently. Yes, many brands want quick turnaround and simple execution. But I don’t think you got ghosted because you went into strategist mode. More likely they were chasing a cheaper rate or saw a chance to negotiate down after realizing how much thinking you were bringing to the table. From my experience, creators who understand strategy are exactly what brands need most. I just tend to share the full strategy after I’ve confirmed I’m available, aligned with the brief, and clear on the scope and rate. Please keep up doing the great work! 😊

@samanthabnunes I’m glad you found it useful, definitely pay attention to the language your client/brand uses. Staying short and concise is generally good rule of thumb for the most part.

most creators think 1 concept = 1 ad then wonder why they run out of ideas after 2 weeks here's the shift: ❌ "I need 20 new concepts for this month" ✅ "I need 1 concept wrapped in 20 different ways" the CASH framework: C - Concept (the raw idea) example: cortisol is ruining your sleep A - Angle (how you frame it) • paradoxical question: "why do Navy SEALs sleep less but wake up more energized?" • surprising culprit: "your morning coffee is destroying your sleep 12 hours later" • authority claim: "Stanford researchers discovered the real reason you can't stay asleep" S - Style (the creative format) • UGC talking head • founder story • whiteboard explainer • green screen + B-roll • text on lifestyle footage H - Hook (specific opening language) • "if you're waking up at 3am every night..." • "here's what nobody tells you about sleep supplements..." • "I tried 15 different solutions before this worked..." 1 concept x 12 angles x 6 styles = 72 unique ads brands scaling to $100K+/month aren't more creative they just know how to multiply winners the moment you stop treating every ad like a brand new idea and start using CASH to create variations, you never run out of content system > inspiration. every time.
