The risk of loss in trading futures and/or options is substantial, and each investor and/or trader must consider whether this is a suitable investment. Past performance, whether actual or indicated by simulated historical tests of strategies, is not indicative of future results.

@BoxIce22182 @ValueSeeker_ This same formation has been a theme in May commodities, look no further than a weekly soy oil chart.

Wheat remains 1 standard deviation below its long-term trend. The market seems particularly complacent given the situation. This is good news for investors who have time to position their portfolios accordingly if they wish to. $WEAT

6 years ago today — March 13, 2020 (also a Friday the 13th and the start of the COVID shutdown) — I resigned from Cargill and launched @ParadigmFutures and Paradigm Marketing. Fast forward to today: we now have multiple brokers and consultants helping clients across the U.S. with commodity trading and risk management. None of this would be possible without the trust of our clients. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with you. It’s been an incredible journey — here’s to many more years. PROST!

Seeing some takes calling for government incentives to reduce U.S. crop acres to boost prices. That’s focusing on the wrong side of the ledger. Cutting U.S. acres would only accelerate expansion in other growing regions around the world and further erode our competitiveness in export markets. The real policy focus should be on lowering cost of production—onshoring fertilizer production (livestock and commercial), reducing input volatility. Lowest-cost producer wins. Always.

Grain markets are finding support as Brazil logistics, biofuels policy, and macro forces align. I walk through what’s driving soybeans, corn, and wheat — and what I’m watching next. hubs.ly/Q040K31t0

@MediaKing In Sioux Falls, the few spots with nice views are reserved for a water reclamation plant and industrial park.

The data that is IMO more valuable than USDA data: What buyers are willing to pay for soybeans vs. what sellers are willing to accept. Last year's FOB lows formed around Christmas, next 30 days will be telling. Tune out the post WASDE fear mongering and keep positive in 2026!

Calling all #biofuel experts: This image of a South Dakota #ethanol plant has been circulating for around 20 years. The earliest record I found was from 2006. Can any industry veterans identify which facility this is?

Disagree with his comment on farmer owned ethanol doesn’t succeed. It can, and it is. Farmer owned plant in southern Minnesota has added tremendous value to the producers that own it. Best part about it is profits stay local. Talk about a win/win.
Damian Mason@DamianPMason

This is the point I make and farmers / ranchers get mad. I'm not a packer lover but I don't see the model being replaced by a group of farmer investors. Again, look at the ethanol history - farmer ownership models didn't succeed.
