I just got off the phone with someone who works in defense policy in Washington. What they told me should end every "Trump is reckless" argument permanently. "Every single president since Clinton received the same intelligence briefing on Iran's nuclear timeline. Every single one was told the window was closing. Every single one chose to kick it down the road because the political cost of acting was higher than the political cost of waiting." Trump got the same briefing. 60kg of 90% enriched uranium. 4 weeks to breakout. Material for 2 bombs. He chose to act knowing it would tank his approval to 35%. He chose to act knowing his own base would split. He chose to act knowing NATO allies would refuse to help. He chose to act knowing gas prices would spike. A senior analyst I know at a major think tank put it this way: "The difference between Trump and every president before him isn't intelligence. They all had the same data. The difference is courage." Read that again. Every president had the same file on their desk. Only one opened it and did something. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

@GadSaad Who cares. Canadas immigration policies have made it unliveable. Who cares about two religions fighting amongst each other. Take it back to the Middle East. We have our own problems.

@GadSaad How about we just kick all these religious folk that are interested in their never ending conflicts out. Start being a Christian country again. This spoken from someone deeply non religious. None of these middle eastern conflicts belong here.

@Michphil1998 @userbot77728 I dunno it’s crazy when I go outside I don’t see any of that. I think the internet may hyper focus on a small part of Canada. Not saying it doesn’t happen. But it’s not the majority of Canada. It’s like saying all albertans are the product of incest. It’s not true but happensalot

It’s simply shocking to me that he can’t see the real Canada. We have people in our streets chanting death to Canada and burning the Canadian flag. We have people wearing turbans and carrying swords protesting in our streets about something happening in a foreign country. Foreign corruption gangs are overtaking Canadian cities and threatening citizens. We have a province allowing treaty Indians legal rights to land paid for and occupied for decades by others. Youth in our country can’t find jobs because grown ass immigrants now hold the jobs that the youth used to rely on. Immigrant truck drivers create chaos, destruction and death on a weekly basis across Canada. His rose colored glasses are seeing a Canada that no longer exists and hasn’t for years. The immigrants of years past who came to Canada and assimilated to Canadian culture are NOT the immigrants of today who force their culture and religion on Canada and demand Canada accommodate their needs, wants and ways. His kumbaya belief is a lie and simply proves he lives in an elite politician world that the average Canadian doesn’t experience.

@PressSec Sureee. But I mean they did say at first Israel was gonna do it anyways they might as well join. Then backtracked. There probably is a reason they attacked that’s not Israel. But it definitely because Iran was a threat. My guess is oil. Like all American wars.

There are many false claims in this letter but let me address one specifically: that "Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation."   This is the same false claim that Democrats and some in the liberal media have been repeating over and over.   As President Trump has clearly and explicitly stated, he had strong and compelling evidence that Iran was going to attack the United States first.   This evidence was compiled from many sources and factors. President Trump would never make the decision to deploy military assets against a foreign adversary in a vacuum.   Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. The Iranian regime is evil. It proudly killed Americans, waged war against our country, and openly threatened us all the way up to the launch of Operation Epic Fury.   Iran was aggressively expanding their short-range ballistic missiles to combine with their naval assets to give themselves immunity – meaning they would have a degree of a capabilities that would give them immunity to hold us and the rest of the world hostage.   The regime aimed to use those ballistic missiles as a shield to continue achieving their ultimate goal – nuclear weapons.   The President, through his top negotiators, gave the regime every single possible opportunity to abandon this unacceptable course by permanently giving up their nuclear ambitions in exchange for sanctions relief, free nuclear fuel, and potential economic partnerships with our country.   But they would not say yes to peace because obtaining nuclear weapons was their fundamental goal.   President Trump ultimately made the determination that a joint attack with Israel would greatly reduce the risk to American lives that would come from a first strike by the terrorist Iranian regime and address this imminent threat to America’s national security interests.   All of this led to President Trump arriving at the determination that this military operation was necessary for U.S. national security, which is why he launched the massively successful Operation Epic Fury. The Commander-in-Chief determines what does and does not constitute a threat, because he is the one constitutionally empowered to do so - and because the American people went to the ballot box and entrusted him and him alone to make such final judgments. And finally, the absurd allegation that President Trump made this decision based on the influence of others, even foreign countries, is both insulting and laughable. President Trump has been remarkably consistent and has said for DECADES that Iran can NEVER possess a nuclear weapon. As someone who actually witnesses President Trump’s decision-making process on a daily basis, I can attest to the fact that he is always looking to do what’s in the best interest of the United States of America — period. America First.
Joe Kent@joekent16jan19

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

@GadSaad @ZohranKMamdani In my opinion western culture isn’t compatible with any of these middle eastern religions. Jews, muslims they should keep there wars away from us. Keep their ideology out of our society. Really it’s all religions that cause wars. Enough is enough.

There are nearly 2 billion Muslims, many are peaceful, many are not. There is a 1,400-year history of Islamic conquests and colonization of endless cultures. Hundreds of millions of people (conservative estimate) have been forcibly converted, subjugated, enslaved, or killed by the Noble Faith of Peaceful Genocides. If you study the foundational Islamic tenets, they could not be any more antithetical to American freedoms & liberties. Literally. So, now I ask you: Given that we all know an Ahmad who is very nice and peaceful, what is the evidence that you would need to see, as Americans, to say: "I don't wish to tolerate Islam in my society?" Or is it that no amount of evidence can convince you because "freedom of religion"?

@trillspot @GadSaad It’s just a matter of timing that muslims are the ones creating it now. It was the Christian’s before. It could be Hindu’s next. Religion is just a major root of conflict.

@trillspot @GadSaad An immigration issue then. That I get onboard with. It seems Gaad has a serious hate for muslims stemming from the fact that he’s Jewish. I don’t subscribe to any religion and think they’ve all created catastrophes. I paint them all with the same brush.
