If you were actually reshoring supply chains in the U.S. you would celebrate tariffs on China as it would give your American investments a competitive edge over illegally-subsidized Chinese imports and Chinese IP theft. The intensity of your hatred for China tariffs gives away the game. President Trump has been clear and consistent on this for decades: we must cut taxes and regs for US-based manufacturers (plus lowering energy costs, increasing investments and leveraging foreign policy) while imposing strong tariffs on foreign countries that that wage economic warfare against the US middle class — this is the recipe and necessity for making America the one true manufacturing superpower on planet earth.
