@AbuMwesigwa Tik-Tok is acknowledging what platforms do, not what a media hse or a professional journalist does. It is in their interest to have some really unfair coinages about journalism like- 'social media journalism' Tik- Tok journalism

At this rate, we may eventually have to rethink….or even do away with….some of those traditional terminologies. The real challenge lies in the blurring line between journalism and digital content creation, while still preserving credibility and ethical standards. For example, TikTok itself has acknowledged that quantity drives visibility. In traditional journalism, we often hear the principle “quality over quantity.” However, on TikTok, the rule is almost the opposite…..more is more.

Guys, social media journalism is evolving, and journalists must evolve with it. If journalists and media organisations don’t adapt, they risk becoming irrelevant. The way we tell stories is changing—and so must the way we engage with our audiences. This has been on my mind for some time now, and the conversations around it are already beginning to take shape. Of course, that means we must do even more than we are already doing. At first, many people were hesitant. They believed they needed a professional studio setup—a green screen, high-end equipment, or even access to a full production team. I kept hearing things like, “I have to ask my colleagues,” “I need to borrow equipment,” or “I have to buy new gear.” But my response was always the same: you don’t really need all that.
