My son turned 11 and asked for sushi for his birthday dinner. Done. Made the reservation. Then my in-laws called. They were coming into town and wanted to get together. I invited them along. One problem. My sister in law doesn't eat anything with Asian origin. Says it gives her migraines. For years we'd rearranged plans around this without question. I sat down with my son. Me: Hey. Your aunt doesn't really do Asian food. Would you consider somewhere else? Him: (looked at me) Him: It's my birthday. Me: I know. Him: I want sushi. Me: (fair) I called the in-laws. Explained everything. Told them they were welcome to come to ours the next day for the Superbowl instead if the restaurant didn't work. Them: We want to see you both days. Me: Then we'll see you both days. I figured that was their decision to make. We showed up to the restaurant. My son ordered everything he wanted. My sister in law sat down, looked at the menu for a long time, and ordered edamame and white rice. She was fine. No migraine. My son ate sushi until he could not move. Him: (on the way home, completely full) Him: Best birthday. Me: (looked at him) Me: Yeah? Him: Can we do this every year? Me: (thought about the in-laws) Me: (thought about the edamame) Me: (thought about his face at that table) Me: Absolutely.

@kasukasu_illus It’s still relevant since the original post is about a place here in the Philippines. If you see these type of comments more often don’t be suprised as it’s really a shithole rn. If you aren’t a Filipino you won’t understand. If you are, why are you so chill about that topic?

One thing I noticed among a lot of Filipino users is the tendency to insert national self-commentary into places that aren't really about the Philippines. For example, I saw a Chinese user on Xiaohongshu post a photo of herself at a Philippine tourist spot, and a Filipino...

This should also be done with ticket concerts and the likes that abusive people that don’t want to work are doing then call it “hustle”

This is absolutely unacceptable, @onmetahq May 18: Placed the order. Transaction didn't arrive. Asked for a refund immediately. May 20: You asked for my bank details. May 21: I sent them. You said the refund is being processed. May 26: YOU PROCESSED THE ORDER INSTEAD.

After 8 days of follow-ups, you went ahead with the transaction I explicitly cancelled. This is NOT okay.

6 days and counting. Sent funds through @onmetahq on May 18, and I still haven't received my money OR a refund. @Ronin_Network redirects you to them, then washes their hands of it. Their social media is FULL of the same complaints. Frustrating that your money is on hold.

@AxieInfinity I think when I bought my first 3 axies for Axie Classic. Still have 2 on my wallet since the other 1 was released in the first week that releasing axies were introduced. That's where it all started in 2022, still here.
