@jeanqasaur Research from Dora (dora.dev) quantifies this well. If you don't have good internal doc practices (design docs, launch docs, security policies, architectures, etc) you will be measurably slower, make poorer engineering decisions, and have a harder time growing.

Ok, discussion question: my personal theory is that lack of documentation is a major obstacle to developer productivity, but documentation is often low-priority and low-spend. How to reconcile this?

@remoquete Absolutely! Two additional points - offer documentation sprints at developer conferences so people can directly address the issues they see in documentation when they're top of mind. Second, give talks at internal conferences to promote docs culture within your company.
