@netanyahu Interesting Netanyahu chose to put himself in front of President Trump. And yes, I would have said the same thing had Zelensky done the same thing.

Australian Aboriginal peoples developed sophisticated sea turtle harvesting practices over thousands of years that balanced human need with ecological sustainability. Communities living along the coasts of northern Australia, including groups in Queensland and the Torres Strait Islands, integrated turtle hunting into cultural, spiritual, and dietary life. Turtles were not hunted opportunistically but within structured systems governed by custom, ceremony, and law passed down through generations. Elders held knowledge of turtle nesting cycles, migration routes, and population dynamics, and this expertise shaped when, where, and how much harvesting occurred. Seasonal restrictions ensured that nesting females and eggs received protection during critical reproductive periods. Hunters used hand-held harpoons from canoes, a method requiring significant skill that naturally limited harvest volume compared to industrial techniques. Certain individuals, family groups, or clans held custodial rights over specific coastal stretches, creating accountability tied directly to the health of local turtle populations. Spiritual beliefs reinforced practical conservation, as turtles held ceremonial significance that discouraged wasteful or excessive taking. Archaeological evidence from shell middens and bone deposits shows turtle harvesting occurred consistently over millennia without the population collapses seen under colonial-era and industrial exploitation. European settlement disrupted these systems through land dispossession, forced relocation, suppression of cultural practice, and the introduction of commercial hunting that operated without traditional limits. Green and hawksbill turtle populations in Australian waters declined sharply during the 19th and 20th centuries as commercial operations harvested them for oil, shell, and meat at unsustainable rates. Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' rights to continue traditional hunting for personal and community use was eventually codified in Australian law, including the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act. Contemporary Indigenous rangers now work alongside marine biologists to monitor turtle populations, combining traditional ecological knowledge with modern science. Research has increasingly validated that traditional Aboriginal harvesting methods were not merely cultural artifacts but functioning management systems with measurable conservation outcomes. These practices challenge the assumption that sustainable resource management is a modern scientific achievement, demonstrating instead that Indigenous communities solved these problems long before Western institutions recognized them as problems at all. The recognition of Aboriginal sea turtle harvesting systems has reshaped how marine conservationists approach endangered species management in Australia, leading to collaborative programs that place Indigenous knowledge alongside scientific data rather than beneath it. Communities that were once excluded from decisions about coastal resources now participate as active stewards, and turtle populations in areas under Indigenous management have shown measurable recovery. This shift also carries broader implications, challenging governments, researchers, and institutions to reconsider how they define expertise, who holds it, and what gets lost when traditional knowledge is dismissed rather than integrated. #archaeohistories

You could literally tell Chat GPT that you’ve just murdered someone & it would find a way around it to make it seem ok. It’s the most bullshit thing that has been introduced to society & it’s dumbing down society as a whole. You’ve got absolute numpty guts asking Chat GPT for advice on just about anything. Soon enough no cunt will be able to think for themselves.

@SydneyLWatson So we're all like this? C'mon @SydneyLWatson that's like judging America based only on Democrat positions? Many Aussies are disgusted on the course our country has taken under the pathetic leadership across both Labor and Liberal politicians.

I tweeted the other day that Australians think they are better than Americans. This is what I mean. Aussies have no right to self-defense. No explicit freedom of speech. The governments there control every facet of life. I can list all the ways they're getting fucked 6 ways to Sunday. But they feel morally superior to Americans. They genuinely believe the government infringing the rights of law-abiding citizens is a win because it APPEARS to be action. And it makes them feel good, despite the fact that every time this happens, they're inviting more and more government overreach. But, hey, as long as they're not like those silly Americans, right?

I hear this dozens of times a day. Get security, Chris. Basic security easily costs $1000 a day. Do you not all realize that I stand on the street making no money? Yes, security would be great. It’s not possible. This is a war where thousands of kids are being harmed, and I’m not stopping what I’m doing, because I know how much it works. It is what it is.
Van Gran Man 🇨🇦 🇺🇸@vangranman

@BillboardChris This could easily happen to you. I hope you can switch up your strategy a bit to mitigate the risks. Maybe some armed body guards. If you come to my region, I'd be happy to volunteer.

🇮🇱🇵🇸 ISRAELI TANKS STORM GAZA NEIGHBORHOOD, 3-YEAR-OLD PULLED FROM RUBBLE Israeli tanks pushed into Sheik Radwan, one of Gaza City’s most crowded areas, as health officials reported at least 24 Palestinians killed, many of them children. Three-year-old Ibrahim Al Mahu was dug out alive by his grandmother after a strike killed his parents and two sisters. Gaza authorities say more than 63,000 have died since October 7, while 367, including 131 children, have perished from malnutrition. Netanyahu insists on seizing Gaza City to defeat Hamas, even as Israelis protest for hostage deals. Source: Reuters

On this Vietnam Veterans’ Day, may we grasp the historical context and reasons why Australia sent forces to Vietnam. For when we do, we do three things: We shine a light on the ignorance of today’s protesters. We remember the meaning behind the suffering and sacrifice of Australians who served in Vietnam. And we express our profound national gratitude to those Vietnam Veterans who are still with us for all they did for our country and in defence of our region. Lest we forget.

Intersex athletes are not "men pretending to be women". and they're not enforcing pronouns. I actually don't think XY athletes should compete against women in combat sports. But the erasure of Imane Khelif's intersex status to score points against trans activists is galling.
