@FPL_Harry We've no chance against Spain, they look like a team who play league football together. A haram ball finale it is for the English And yes I believe we'll beat the Argies 💯

I think we all wanted Spain to win given how France had looked… However, not so sure after today. Spain looked unstoppable against the apparent “world’s best” But first. Argentina 🇦🇷. Our first World Cup final since 1966? We can dream! COME ON ENGLAND 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I'm really of the opinion that we need to start calling this out. This is just crap parenting.

You pop into the donut place and you see this from the woman and 2 boys ahead of you. Do you say something or do you mind your business? Now let me ask: Should people START confronting this kind of lack of parenting more often? 🤔

This is a genuinely great video. An American spends the entire first week of the World Cup watching football the wrong way, then explains exactly why the sport finally clicked for him. His journey is the one every new fan goes through. He started out doing what almost everyone does at first, staring at the ball and the player carrying it, waiting for something to happen. Watched that way, football looks like 88 minutes of nothing and two minutes of chaos. Then he stopped watching the ball and started watching the system. What are the other ten players doing right now? Who is dragging a defender out of position? Who is quietly closing down a passing lane thirty yards from the action? The moment you stop following the ball like a puppy chasing a tennis ball, a completely different game appears. That is the next level. And this is the part I want to add for everyone making the same discovery this summer. When you watch all eleven players and the tactics underneath, the ideas each team is trying to impose on the other, you enter a dimension that has nothing to do with counting goals. A 2-1 scoreline sounds almost insulting if goals are your only currency. But a goal in football is not a point on a scoreboard. It is the end product of an enormous collective effort, sometimes twenty passes deep, built on runs that never receive the ball and pressing that started in the opponent’s half three minutes earlier. Ten men work in the shadows so one man can finish in the light. That scarcity is exactly what makes a goal detonate a stadium of 80,000 people in a way few things in sport can match. So to everyone watching the world’s most beautiful game for the first time this month, whether you’re in America, Europe or anywhere else on the planet: welcome. Every single one of us started out staring at the ball. The game simply rewards you the moment you look up. Stay connected, Follow Gandalv @Microinteracti1

@oldjamfan @lamont1940 It wasn't a "once in a generation referendum". Nobody can stop a quasi-colonial state from making up "rules" like that as it goes on - but if it does, there's no point in pretending that it's anything other than a prison.

@jamesaknight Yeah normally I'd agree we have no chance against France or Spain, but we absolutely do with Tuchel. He can get this group of players over the line, will be very tricky though with our defence

Man-in-the-pub opinion. England looked shot to pieces last night bar Bellingham, who could easily end up player of the tournament. We could have a successful scrap against ARG but will def get found out against FRA or SPA should we win that. England outright bet cashed out. Thank you.

Nobody would be remotely arsed about the wire thing if 1. FIFA hadn't immediately came out and lied about it 2. A single living English person was capable of going "haha yeah funny one, due a bit of luck for once!"

@SionBen86 @jalo1969 I do find it amusing that all of a sudden, after what 25 odd years? That Oasis is now not regarded as a British band and was never embedded within the fabric of 90s brit pop 😂 Just because wonderwall is now our world cup anthem

@0x_adamu @henrywinter It will be the end of the line for Argentina. Not because our team is so elite, but because Tuchel is unmatched in this tournament for ingame management. The argies could be 1-0 up and he will tactically shift so we get a leg up.

Leaving Miami for Kansas City and then on to Atlanta. Whatever the understandable debate about performance etc the most significant and uplifting reality is that England are in the semi-finals of the World Cup for only the third time since 1966. And they have a world-class match-winner in Jude Bellingham and a world-class head coach in Thomas Tuchel. For those fans who have travelled all over supporting the team and being frustrated with early exits and good players underachieving … this World Cup is reward, a joyous journey, a rollercoaster for the emotions, a challenge for the nerves. And now … a semi-final awaits. #ENG #FIFAWorldCup

@henrywinter I haven't actually problem with the performances, we've had to deal with basically Rice and Saka playing at half capacity with no RB. Norway were in excellent form, we did what we had to just to get it over the line. Elite mentality instilled by Tuchel, was very impressed
