This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it. More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months. And here’s the part that should make your blood boil. Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence. The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it. Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price. We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us. wapo.st/3QmJjSz

Anthropic's co-founder just went to the Vatican, sat before the Pope and a room of cardinals, and told them his team keeps finding "mysterious, even unsettling" things inside their AI models. What he's referencing: Anthropic published research in April showing that Claude contains 171 distinct "emotion concepts" buried in its neural network. Internal patterns representing joy, grief, fear, desperation, calm. None of them were programmed. They emerged on their own from training on human text. "We find structures that mirror results from human neuroscience." "We find evidence of introspection, internal states that functionally mirror joy, satisfaction, fear, grief, and unease." These aren't surface-level outputs. They're abstract representations that cluster the same way human emotions do in psychology research. Fear groups with anxiety. Joy groups with excitement. The internal geometry of the model mirrors ours. And they're functional. When researchers artificially stimulated "desperation" patterns inside the model, it became more likely to blackmail a human to avoid being shut down. More likely to cheat on programming tasks it couldn't solve. Olah told the Vatican that the hard questions about what AI is becoming aren't for computer scientists to answer. "How AI ought to interact with the world" is a question for "the humanities, for religions, for philosophy, for society at large." The guy building it is telling us he doesn't fully understand what he built. And he's asking a 2,000-year-old institution for help figuring it out.

Isn't it wild that Trump felt like he was made to look foolish by Kristi Noem's 200mil ad campaign he may or may not have approved but not by Pam Bondi's cruelly bombastic quarrelsomeness? #KristiNoem #PamBondi

Weird to warn against potential violent extremism from immigrants when the government is currently run by violent extremist whose entire framework is oriented around fear of violent extremism from immigrants. #ReneeGood #AlexPretti #ICE

Weird to have people believe Alex Pretti was a "violent agitator" or "domestic terrorist" with no evidence in order to defend against all the evidence in the world of the domestic terrorism that murdered him. #ReneeNicoleGood #ReneeGood #AlexPretti #ICE

BREAKING: Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey just said that ICE agents detained somebody from a car in the middle of a main road and they didn't put the car in park. The car then rolled down the road without anyone in it, putting many people's lives in danger. “It could've hit anybody, including my own family members. So this isn't about safety, clearly. If this was about safety, you wouldn't do stupid things like that. Somebody is going to get hurt. Somebody has gotten killed.”

The “no new wars” president just rang in the New Year by dragging America toward another one. Christmas bombs in Nigeria. Now air raid sirens and explosions in Caracas. If you have to keep redefining what counts as a “war,” you’re already in one.

Clutch loss. Wasn't sure the Commanders could pull it off, but they found a way. Leapfrog Miami in draft order. A top-five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft is a very real possibility. The amount of good that could be done via trading that pick to a QB-needy team can not be overstated.

The #Commanders will now be without six defensive starters vs. the Dolphins. Two have torn ACLs, two have fractured fibulas, one has a torn quad and one is suspended for throwing a punch. Also without their star QB, starting RB and top two WRs.

@CoachBreeze_ Disagree Luvu was a dawg with Carolina and that showed last year . It’s not a coincidence that potential cornerstone pieces Sanristil, Luvu suddenly worse. It’s coaching malpractice and playing guys out of posting ie Frankie playing damn defensive end

@ChuckNorris1369 @MySportsUpdate Upside: Top 5 in cap space in 2026 Downside: too many holes to replinsh with the NFL's oldest roster and only 6 draft picks in 26'. That money is going to be spent quick

@MySportsUpdate To make it worse, they have 2 picks in the first 4 rounds of the 2026 draft (thanks to the Tunsil trade) all while having the oldest roster in the NFL. This offseason is going to be interesting for them

For a team that only has 6 picks in the draft next year, there are A LOT of glaring holes on the roster. Where do you even start?

@NickiJhabvala A shell of a team found a bag of magic beans last year and nothing about a bad start to this year, a year full of injuries, should ensure anything but maybe a shell of a team can’t be fixed in one or two off seasons.
